You may find it frustrating to wait 30 minutes for a new life (or turn) in Candy Crush. Fortunately, there are several ways to bypass this time limit without paying for additional in-game features. This guide will show you how to play without ever running out of lives on Android, iPhone, or iPad. If you're using a computer with Facebook, there's also a way to get a free extra life.
Steps
Using Your Phone or Tablet
Use up all remaining lives. Progress through levels until you're out of lives. While playing, you'll be able to see how many lives you have left next to the heart icon at the top of the screen.
Exit Candy Crush Saga. Once you've run out of lives, you need to completely exit the game. Follow these steps to exit Candy Crush Saga:
- On iPhone and iPad, slowly swipe up from the bottom of the screen. On Android devices, tap the square-shaped icon or the button that looks like two stacked squares. On Samsung devices, tap the three-line icon. This step shows all apps that are open in power-saving mode.
- Swipe right until you see the Candy Crush Saga window that you previously exited.
- Swipe up from the Candy Crush Saga window. The window will disappear, indicating that the game has been closed.
Adjust the time on your phone. By speeding up the time on your phone, you can trick Candy Crush Saga into thinking you're at some future point in time. This way, you will receive more lives. Follow the steps below to set the time forward by three hours:
- On iOS - Tap Settings, then select General. Next, tap Date & Time. Turn off the "Set Automatically" switch, then tap the time. Slide the clock forward by three hours.
- On Android - Tap Settings on your home screen or open the menu and choose Settings. Tap the magnifying glass icon and search for "Date and Time" in the search bar. Then, tap Date & Time. Turn off the "Automatic date & time" option. Next, tap Set Time. Slide the clock forward by three hours, then tap OK.
Wait for a minute or two. Before re-entering Candy Crush Saga, take a short pause.
Re-enter Candy Crush Saga. Tap the Candy Crush icon on your home screen or app menu to open the game again. Don't start playing immediately. You just need to check if new lives have been added. You'll see the number of lives you have left in the heart icon at the top of the game selection screen.
Reset the time to its original setting. Go back to the Settings menu on your device and toggle the "Set Automatically" switch back on. This step will automatically correct and reset the time.
Play Candy Crush Saga. Your lives will be restored, and you can continue playing. If you run out of lives, simply repeat the steps above to get more.
- Note: If you now have to wait longer than before for extra lives, it means you didn't wait long enough in Step 3. You'll need to go through the steps again and adjust the clock to be faster than usual to avoid waiting too long.
Get more lives on your computer
Play until you have one life left. This trick only works when you have exactly one life remaining, so make sure you’re focused!
- You cannot have unlimited lives in the Facebook version, as everything runs on the server. Any page claiming to give you unlimited lives is not trustworthy.
Open a new tab. When you have only one life left, you need to open Candy Crush in a different tab of your browser.
Load Candy Crush Saga in another tab. Go to Facebook in a different tab and click "Candy Crush Saga" on the left sidebar. Don't start playing yet. Just get ready.
Play the game in the first tab. If you lose your last life in the first tab, you can switch to the second tab to play again. If you lose your last life, you must immediately close the first tab before the game ends and open Candy Crush Saga on Facebook in a new window. You can repeat this process as long as you manage to open the new tab and close the old one before your lives run out.
