Instead of printing one PDF page per side, you can print multiple PDF pages on a single sheet. This method is called N-up printing, where "N" represents any number of PDF pages (2, 4, 6, etc.) you want to print on one side. For example, 6-up means printing 6 PDF pages on one sheet. Printing multiple PDF pages on one side helps reduce printing costs and minimizes waste.
Steps
Print Multiple PDF Pages on One Side

Select “Print.” Click on File. From the dropdown menu, choose “Print.” A window or dialog box will appear.
- Mac users can use the shortcut ⌘ Command P.
- Windows users can use the shortcut Ctrl P.

Adjust the “Page Scaling” settings. Locate the “Page Scaling” option. Expand the dropdown menu and select “Multiple Pages Per Sheet” from the “Page Scaling” menu.
- In the latest version of Adobe Reader, this option is labeled as “Page Sizing and Handling.”

Select the number of PDF pages per sheet. After choosing “Multiple pages per sheet,” a new option will appear in the dialog box: “Pages per sheet.” Use the dropdown menu next to this option to select the number of PDF pages you want to print on a single sheet.
- In the latest version, you can set any number of pages as desired.

Specify the page order. Find the “Page Order” section and expand the dropdown menu. You will have four options: Horizontal, Horizontal Reversed, Vertical, and Vertical Reversed.
- With the Horizontal option, pages will display in rows from left to right.
- With the Horizontal Reversed option, pages will display in rows from right to left.
- With the Vertical option, pages will start from the top-left corner and display from top to bottom, left to right.
- With the Vertical Reversed option, pages will start from the top-right corner and display from top to bottom, right to left.

Print the document. To print the document, click “Ok.” Finally, collect your document from the printer.
- You should consider double-sided printing to save paper.
Print Multiple Copies of PDF Pages on One Side

Duplicate PDF pages. The “Organize Pages” feature allows you to duplicate and rearrange PDF pages, though this feature is not available in the free version of Adobe Reader. Duplicate the pages before converting your document into a PDF file. To proceed, use this feature:
- Click on the “Tools” tab and select “Organize Pages.”
- Choose one or more pages you wish to copy.
- Hold down Ctrl or ⌘ Command while dragging the thumbnail to a second location.

Select “Print.” To print multiple PDF pages on a single sheet, you need to adjust the print settings.
- Click on File and choose “Print.”
- Locate the “Page Scaling” or “Page Sizing and Handling” option and select “Multiple Pages Per Sheet.”
- Use the dropdown menu under “Pages per sheet” to select the number of PDF pages you want to print on one side of the paper.

Set the page order. Find the “Page Order” section. You will see four options.
- If you choose Horizontal, pages will display in rows from left to right.
- If you choose Horizontal Reversed, pages will display in rows from right to left.
- If you choose Vertical, pages will start from the top-left corner and display from top to bottom, left to right.
- If you select Vertical Reversed, pages will start from the top-right corner and display from top to bottom, right to left.

Print the document. After adjusting the settings, click “Ok” to print the PDF pages. Finally, collect your document from the printer.

Print Double-Sided

Print double-sided on Windows. Double-sided printing allows you to print on both the front and back of a sheet of paper.
- Click on “File” and select “Print” from the dropdown menu.
- Click the “Properties” button.
- Choose “Layout” and select “Print on both sides.”
- Click “Ok” to print the document.

Print double-sided on Mac. Double-sided printing saves paper by utilizing both sides of the sheet.
- Click on “File” and choose “Print.”
- Expand the Print dialog by clicking the blue square next to the “Printer” field.
- Expand the dropdown menu under the “Pages” field and select “Layout.”
- Locate the “Two-Sided” field and choose “Long-Edge binding” from the dropdown menu.
- Click “Ok” to print the document.

Print double-sided on a single-sided printer. If your printer doesn’t support double-sided printing, you can manually print on each side of the paper.
- Click on “File” and select “Print” from the dropdown menu.
- Find the “Subset” option and choose “Even Pages Only.”
- Check the box next to “Reverse Pages.”
- Click “Ok” to print the document.
- Remove the paper from the printer. If the document has an odd number of pages, add a blank sheet.
- Place the stack back into the paper tray. Even-numbered pages should face down with the top of the page toward the printer.
- Select File > Print > Subset > Odd Pages Only > Reverse Pages > Ok.
