Today, Mytour will guide you on how to print photos, documents, and other file types from your Samsung Galaxy tablet. If you have access to a wireless printer, you can easily add the device to your tablet by downloading the appropriate app from the Play Store. If your printer doesn't have internet access but supports Bluetooth, you can connect it to your tablet and print from the Sharing menu.
Steps
Add a Wi-Fi printer

Turn on the wireless printer. If the printer is not online yet, turn it on and connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
- You only need to perform this setup during the first time you configure the printer.
- For further details, check out this article How to set up a wireless connection to a printer and learn how to configure your printer on a Wi-Fi network.

Connect your tablet to the same Wi-Fi network. Ensure that your tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer for wireless printing to work.
- To connect Wi-Fi on your tablet, open the Settings app, tap Wi-Fi, and enable it if it’s off. If this is your first time connecting to the network, select the network name and enter the password when prompted.

Tap on More connection settings (Other connection settings). This option is found in the left-hand menu.
- Depending on your Android version, the option name may slightly vary, such as More settings or More networks, but it will generally include the word More. Choose the network from the list, and within the network configuration, the Print or Printing option will appear.

Tap on Printing or Print. The menu names may differ slightly.

Tap on Download plug-in (Download plugin). A list of printer services will appear in the Play Store.
- If the printer service is already set up, its name will show here. If the setup is not activated, proceed to step 9.

Install the plug-in for the specific printer manufacturer. If you can't find the printer manufacturer, select the Samsung Print Service Plugin.
- To install the plug-in, tap INSTALL after selecting and follow the on-screen instructions.

Press the back button to return to the Printing or Print menu.

Tap the printer plugin. For example, if you have the Canon Print Service installed, select it.

Click the menu in the top right corner and select Add printer (Add a printer).

Click on Add + or Add Printer. The option name may vary depending on the plugin you installed.

Follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer. You may be prompted to enter the printer name, server name, or IP address (if the device is not automatically detected) along with other details depending on the printer model. Since plugins may differ, generally, you will need to click the OK button at the end to save the printer settings. Once added, you can print wirelessly.
Print using a Wi-Fi printer

Connect your tablet to the same Wi-Fi network. Your tablet must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer to enable wireless printing.

Open the file you want to print. You can print files from Google Docs, Google Drive, a web browser, and almost any other app.

Tap the three-dot menu button in the top right corner of the screen to access the file.
- This is also the menu location in many Google apps, but other apps may use different icons and menu placements.

Tap the Print. A print preview screen will appear.

Select a printer. If any other device is selected in the top left corner of the screen, tap the menu and choose the printer you need to use.
- If you don't see the printer, make sure you're connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

Tap the yellow printer icon to print. The file you selected will be sent to the wireless printer.
Use Bluetooth printer

Enable Bluetooth on your tablet. If you can't access the Wi-Fi printer but can connect via Bluetooth, follow these steps to enable Bluetooth on your tablet:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification panel.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Select the Bluetooth option from the left column.
- Slide the switch in the right panel to On (blue). Your tablet will begin scanning for available Bluetooth devices.
- If there's an option for "Make this device visible," follow the on-screen instructions to make the device discoverable.

Set the printer to Bluetooth pairing mode. Sometimes the printer will be detected via Bluetooth immediately after turning it on, but other printers may require you to press a function button or select an option from the menu.

Select the Bluetooth printer on your tablet. If your Galaxy tablet automatically detects the printer, you can tap on the device name (or manufacturer name) to connect. If not, select Search for new devices to rescan.

Tap Connect on the tablet. The tablet will pair with the printer.
- Depending on the printer, you may need to enter a PIN to complete the connection. Refer to the printer’s manual (or look it up online) to find the correct PIN.
- If the printer has a screen, check if you need to confirm the connection from the printer side.

Open the file you wish to print. Not all apps support printing over Bluetooth, but you can print documents or images from any app that offers a "Share" option.

Select Bluetooth from the menu. The option is represented by an icon resembling a sideways bowtie. A list of Bluetooth devices will appear.

Tap the Bluetooth printer. The document will be sent to the printer. If the document doesn’t print automatically, check the printer's screen and confirm as needed.
