Today, Mytour will guide you through two methods of recovering deleted voicemails on Android. It can be quite annoying if you accidentally erase a voicemail, but fortunately, timely action can help you recover it. On some Android devices, you can restore deleted voicemails directly through the pre-installed app, while on others, you may need to dial into your voicemail inbox. Unfortunately, there's no way to recover a voicemail once it's been deleted if you hang up or leave the voicemail screen, unless you contact your service provider.
Steps
Recover Directly from the Voicemail System

- Dial *86 for Verizon Wireless or U.S. Cellular.
- Press and hold 1 if you are using AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Cellular One, or Metro PCS.

- If you have already hung up, the only way to retrieve your voicemail is by using third-party software.
Undo if you accidentally delete something

- Some devices come with the Voicemail app preinstalled. Check your app drawer to see if your phone has the Voicemail app.

- On some devices, this option may appear as Undelete (Restore).
Advice
- If the above methods don’t work, try contacting your service provider within 24 hours of deleting the voicemail. If the voicemail has not been removed from the network, the provider may assist in recovery. However, success is not guaranteed.
- Although there are third-party programs capable of recovering deleted data on phones, there is no way to restore deleted voicemails unless the message was previously recorded and saved on a computer or recording service.
- On some phones, you may be able to view deleted voicemails by tapping the trash icon in the default voicemail app. Typically, users have a limited window of time to recover voicemails before they are permanently deleted.
