Lag (the delay, where you click and wait before the action happens) in Roblox (the online gaming platform) can be very annoying. It makes it harder to continue playing. You can follow a few steps to improve your gaming performance on Roblox. Some methods include lowering the graphics quality, improving your internet connection, or even deleting textures in the game. This guide will show you how to reduce lag in Roblox.
Steps
Lower Graphics Quality on Roblox

Launch any game on Roblox. To play a game on Roblox, go to https://www.roblox.com/home and click on any game on the page. This will display the game information page.

Click the Play button. This button, shaped like a triangle and set against a green background, is located to the right of the game image on the game's info page. This step will launch the game in the Roblox player.
- If you haven't installed the Roblox player yet, a window will pop up in the center of your screen. Click the download and install Roblox button (Download and Install) in the window to download the installer. Then click the installation file to install the Roblox player.

Press Esc or click ☰. This button, represented by three horizontal lines in the upper left corner of the screen, is used to open the menu.
Settings

Set the graphics mode to "Manual". Click the arrow next to "Graphics Mode" to toggle between "Automatic" and "Manual". When set to "Automatic", Roblox will optimize the graphics quality for your computer. If set to "Manual", you can adjust the graphics quality yourself.

Lower the graphics quality. To reduce graphics quality, click the minus (-) button next to "Graphics Quality" in the "Settings" menu. This step will lower the graphics quality by one level. The graphics quality will be at its lowest when only one blue level remains.
Improve your Internet connection

Restart your modem or router. Roblox is an online platform, so a slow internet connection may affect your gaming experience. If your internet is lagging, try unplugging your modem or router, then plug it back in to reboot it. Wait a few minutes for it to restart.

Close any other applications and devices connected to the internet. If other applications are running while you are playing Roblox, consider closing them. You should also disconnect smartphones, tablets, handheld gaming consoles, or video streaming devices that are using the internet.

Use an Ethernet connection. If you're currently using a wireless connection, consider switching to a wired connection for better stability. Plug an Ethernet cable into one of the Ethernet ports on your modem or router, connecting it to your desktop or laptop computer.

Upgrade your modem and/or router. If your modem or router is over 3 years old, it might be time for an upgrade. Some newer modems and routers can offer faster internet speeds.

Upgrade your Internet plan. If you're still struggling with slow Internet speeds, you might need to contact your Internet service provider to inquire about faster plans. It might be time to upgrade to a quicker Internet package.
Improve your computer's configuration

Upgrade your graphics card. Roblox recommends using an AMD Radeon R7 240 graphics card with 2 GB GPU or a similar model. If you have been using a desktop for more than 5 years or a laptop for over 3 years, it may be time to upgrade your computer's hardware. You can either install the new graphics card yourself or hire a computer expert to assist you.

Upgrade your computer's processor. Roblox recommends using a processor with a clock speed of at least 1.6 GHz and manufactured from 2005 onward. You can either install the new processor yourself or hire a professional to do it for you.

Add more RAM to your computer. Roblox recommends having at least 1 GB of RAM. Each computer requires a specific type of RAM chip. Once you determine the type of RAM your computer needs, installation is relatively easy. Simply open your computer and place the RAM in the correct slot.
