Today, Mytour will walk you through the process of creating and registering an official WeChat account for your business using a web browser.
Steps
Open your web browser. You can use any browser, such as Chrome, Opera, Firefox, or Safari.
Visit WeChat's official account registration page (Official Account Registration). Type apply.wechat.com into the address bar of your browser and press ↵ Enter.
Fill in basic personal information such as your business email address, password, and region in the 'Basic Information' form. You will use this email address and password to log into your official business account.
Check the box next to the line 'I have read and agreed to the <WeChat Official Account Admin Platform Service Agreement>' at the bottom of the Basic Information form. You must agree to the terms of service in order to register for an official account.
- Ensure that you have read WeChat's service agreement before agreeing. This document includes important information related to the rights of official account users.
Click the Next (Next) green button at the bottom of the Basic Information page. You will be taken to the second form, 'Registration Info'.
Enter basic business information in the 'Registration Info' form. You will need to provide your business name, phone number, contact person, and a brief company introduction.
Click the Upload button next to the Company BR field. You will be able to upload supporting documents to verify your business's legal status.
Select and upload supporting documents. These can include official certificates, company biographies, business cards, or any relevant materials that help with registering your company’s official account.
Fill out the business proposal in the Operation Info section. The proposal should explain the reasons and methods by which your company plans to utilize WeChat for business purposes.
Click the Upload button next to the Proposal Attachment section. This allows you to upload supporting documents or attach detailed reports for your business proposal directly from your computer.
Click the green Next button below the Proposal Attachment option. You will then proceed to the third registration form labeled 'Account Info'.
Enter your company’s display name next to the OA Display Name field. This is the name under which your company account will appear on WeChat.
Fill in a brief introduction about your company in the OA Intro section. This information will be displayed below your company’s profile.
Enter the verification code. Type the code into the text field provided.
Click the Submit button. Your official account registration process is now complete.
