Working on the OpenAire platform

OpenAire is a platform provided by the European Commission, offering social and technical links to promote OPEN SCIENCE across Europe and beyond. To connect with research data and projects or perform certain tasks on OpenAire, you must be a registered member. This guide explains how to sign up as a member on OpenAire to access these services.

Steps

Visit the OpenAire homepage at https://www.openaire.eu/. The image above shows a screenshot of the OpenAire homepage, taken on April 30, 2017.

Logout

To update your personal information, click on My Profile.
To submit personal feedback, click on My Claims.
To create events, click on Create Events.
To export your work schedule to OpenAire, click on Export Calendar.

Working on the OpenAire platform

Conditions for accessing certain features on OpenAire. For example, when searching for books and reports through published materials on OpenAire, as shown in the article Exploiting open access resources on OpenAire, after opening a selected document, you will see two buttons at the bottom with the following text: (1) LINK TO RESEARCH DATA and (2) LINK TO PROJECT. Without an OpenAire account, you will not be able to use these two features. However, if you have an OpenAire account as demonstrated earlier, you will have full access to these features once logged in.
