Today, Mytour will guide you through three methods to delete empty rows in Google Sheets. You can remove individual rows using filters or eliminate entire rows and blank cells with the help of add-ons.
Steps
Delete Individual Rows

Visit https://sheets.google.com on your web browser. If you're logged into Google, a list of Google Sheets documents linked to your account will appear.
- If you're not logged in, sign in to proceed.

Click on the Google Sheets document.

Right-click on the row number. Rows are numbered in the gray column on the left.

Click on Delete Row.
Using Filters

Visit https://sheets.google.com on your web browser. If you're logged into Google, a list of Google Sheets documents linked to your account will appear.

Click on the Google Sheets document.

Click and drag to select the entire dataset.

Click on the Data tab in the top menu bar.

Click on Filter.

Click on the green three-line triangle icon in the top-left cell.

Click on Sort A → Z (Sort alphabetically). All blank cells will be moved to the bottom.
Using Add-ons

Visit https://sheets.google.com on your web browser. If you're logged into Google, a list of Google Sheets documents linked to your account will appear.
Click on the Google Sheets document.

Click on the Add-ons tab in the top menu bar.
Click on Get Add-ons (Download Add-ons).

Type Remove Blank Rows into the search bar and press ↵ Enter

Click on + Free (+ Free). This button is located next to the name "Remove Blank Rows (and More)." The add-on features an eraser icon.

Click on your Google account. If you have multiple accounts, Google will ask which account you want to add the add-on to.

Click on Allow (Allow).

Click on the Add-ons tab in the top menu bar again.

Select Remove Blank Rows (and More) (Delete blank rows, etc.).

Click on Delete Blank Rows/Columns (Delete blank rows/columns). The add-on's options will open in the right-hand column.

Click on the gray blank cell at the top-left corner of the spreadsheet. The entire spreadsheet will be selected.
- You can also press Ctrl+A to select everything.

Click on Delete (Delete). This option is located in the "Remove Blank Rows (and More)" add-on settings column.
