Today, Mytour will show you how to remove borders that you might accidentally create by pressing three hyphens (-), underscores (_), equal signs (=), or asterisks (*) followed by the 'return' key in Microsoft Word.
Steps
Highlight and Delete

Click on the line just above the unwanted border. If there is any text directly above the line, select the entire line above the border.

Drag the cursor to the line just below the unwanted border. The left side of the line will be highlighted.

Press delete. On many versions of Word, this action will remove the border.
Use the Home Tab

Click on the line just above the unwanted border. If there is any text directly above the line, select the entire line above the border.

Drag the cursor to the line just below the unwanted border. The left side of the line will be highlighted.

Click on the Home tab at the top of the screen.

Click on the "Borders and Shading" icon. This button, located in the "Paragraph" section of the ribbon, features a square divided into four smaller squares.

Select No Borders. The border will disappear.
Using the Page Borders Dialog Box

Click on the line just above the unwanted border. If there is any text directly above the line, select the entire line above it.

Drag the cursor to the line just below the unwanted border. The left side of the line will be highlighted.

Click on the Design tab located at the top of the window.

Click on Page Borders in the upper-right corner of the window.

Click on the Borders tab at the top of the dialog box.

Select None in the left-hand panel.

Click OK. The border will disappear.
