This guide will show you how to unlike posts or pages on Facebook. The quickest way to unlike a post without searching through your News Feed is by using the Activity Log. You can also unlike pages directly from your profile. These steps work for both the mobile and desktop versions of Facebook.
Steps
Unlike a Post on Desktop

Open Facebook by visiting https://www.facebook.com from your computer's browser. This will take you to your News Feed if you're already logged in.
- If you're not logged in, enter your email address and password to proceed.


- Depending on your Facebook version, this option might appear as a gear icon.

Click on Activity Log in the dropdown menu to open this page.

Click on Likes & Reactions on the left side of the page.

Locate the post you want to unlike. Scroll down the screen until you find the post from which you wish to remove your like or reaction.



Click on Unlike in the dropdown menu to remove your like from the post.
- If you’ve reacted to the post, click on Remove Reaction.
- You can repeat this process for each post you want to unlike.
Unlike a Post on Mobile

Open Facebook. Tap on the Facebook app with the white "f" on a dark blue background. This will take you to your News Feed if you're already logged in.
- If you're not logged in, enter your email address and password to proceed.

Tap on the ☰ icon at the bottom-right corner (iPhone) or top of the screen (Android) to open the menu.

Scroll down and select Settings & Privacy near the bottom of the menu. This will expand the Settings & Privacy menu to reveal more options.

Tap on Settings in the displayed menu to open this page.

Scroll down and select Activity Log under the "Your Facebook Information" section in the middle of the page.

Tap on Category in the filter bar at the top of the screen to open another menu.

Scroll down and tap on Likes and Reactions in the menu to view a list of posts you've liked (or reacted to).

Find the post you want to unlike. Scroll through the results until you locate the post from which you wish to remove your like or reaction.


- On Android, the menu will appear at the bottom of the screen instead of as a dropdown list.

Tap on Unlike in the dropdown menu to remove your like from the post.
- If you’ve reacted to the post, select Remove Reaction.
Unlike a Page on Desktop

Open Facebook by visiting https://www.facebook.com from your computer's browser. This will take you to your News Feed if you're already logged in.
- If you're not logged in, enter your email address and password to proceed.

Click on your name in the card at the top of the screen to open your profile page.

Click on About below your cover photo to open this page.

Scroll down and click on Likes near the bottom of the About page.

Find a page. Scroll down the screen until you locate the page you want to unlike.

Select ✓ Liked to the right of the page's profile picture in the dropdown menu.

Click on Unlike in the dropdown menu to immediately remove the page from your liked pages list.
Unlike a Page on Mobile

Open Facebook. Tap on the Facebook app with the white "f" on a dark blue background. This will take you to your News Feed if you're already logged in.
- If you're not logged in, enter your email address and password to proceed.

Tap on the "Profile" icon shaped like a person at the bottom of the screen (or at the top on Android) to open your profile.
- You can also tap the ☰ icon at the bottom-right corner (or top on Android) and tap your name at the top of the menu.

Scroll down and select About at the top of your profile.
- On Android, select See More About Yourself above the "Photos" section.

Scroll down to the "Likes" section near the bottom of the About page.

Tap on See All below the "Likes" section to open the list of liked categories.

Tap on ALL LIKES at the top of the screen to open the list of liked pages.

Select a liked page. Scroll down until you find the page you want to unlike, then tap to open it.

Tap on Liked with the thumbs-up icon at the top-right corner of the page.

Tap on Unlike when prompted to unlike the page and remove it from your liked list.
- You can repeat this process for other pages you want to unlike.
Tips
- Unliking a post will not notify the person who posted it.
Warning
- In some cases, removing a reaction from a post while using the Facebook app may result in an error, preventing the reaction from being removed. You can resolve this by restarting the Facebook app (or by using a computer to remove the reaction).
