Temporary tattoos are not just popular among kids; they are also highly favored at costume parties and are the ideal choice for a beautiful evening when you suddenly feel like refreshing your look in a cool way, without worrying about permanent tattoos. Whatever the reason, these temporary tattoos will naturally peel off over time, and of course, you'll want to remove them. Below are some effective methods for removing temporary tattoos.
Steps
Scrubbing
Apply a small amount of baby oil to the tattoo. Keep in mind that most temporary tattoos are not easily affected by soap and water, so oil is generally the most effective method for removing them. A bit of exfoliating cream may also yield similar results.
- Another solution is using special products that contain silicone, designed specifically to remove temporary tattoos, such as Limisan.
- Alternatively, you can use isopropyl alcohol (a type of cleaner). Note that you only need to dab a small amount onto a cotton ball or tissue, and this substance may cause a slight burning sensation.
- If you don’t have baby oil, you can substitute it with olive oil.

When you peel the tape off, the tattoo will come off with it. You might need to repeat the process a few times, especially for larger tattoos.
Once the tattoo is completely removed, rub an ice cube over the area to reduce redness left by the tape.
Use Cold Cream
Apply a layer of cold cream over the entire surface of the tattoo.

Rửa sạch với xà phòng và nước ấm.
Pat dry or gently dab with a soft cloth.
Repeat a few times if necessary.
Advice
- Many tattoos will naturally fade over time or after prolonged exposure to water. So, if you're uncomfortable with direct friction on the skin, simply wait a few days and the tattoo will gradually disappear on its own.
- Be cautious when using rubbing alcohol. Avoid overusing it, as it can cause skin burns.
