Watermarks, or copyright marks, are often added to images to prevent unauthorized usage. They can be challenging to remove. If you need to use an image with a watermark, you can eliminate the watermark using tools like Photoshop, Inpaint, or Photo Stamp Remover.
Steps
Adobe Photoshop

Open Photoshop and load the image with the watermark you want to remove.

In the left toolbar, select the 'Spot Healing Brush Tool' (the tool with a band-aid icon on a white mark).

Check the radio button next to the 'Content-Aware' option at the top of the toolbar.

Position the brush over the image and use the square bracket keys [ and ] to adjust the brush size to your preference. For example, if you're trying to remove a fine watermark, reduce the brush size for more precise results.

Use the mouse cursor (brush) to paint over the watermark. This will begin to remove the watermark to some extent.

Continue painting over smaller areas until the watermark is completely gone. For larger watermark areas, it's best to use the lasso tool.

Click on the 'Lasso' option in the toolbar. This option resembles a cowboy's lasso.

Place the cursor on the edge of the watermark, then drag the lasso tool around the watermark.

Press the 'D' key on your keyboard. The 'Fill' menu will appear.

Select 'Content Aware' from the 'Use' dropdown menu and click 'OK.' Photoshop will fill in the watermark with colors that blend with the surrounding area, making the watermark disappear.
Inpaint by Teorex

Launch Inpaint and open the image with the watermark you wish to remove.
- Alternatively, you can use the free web version of Inpaint at http://www.webinpaint.com/.

Click on the 'Marker' tool located on the left, above the toolbar. This option looks like a dot of ink on a blank sheet of paper.

Select the desired brush size from the right side of the top toolbar. For example, if you're removing a small or fine watermark, reduce the brush size to achieve higher accuracy.

Drag the cursor around the entire edge of the watermark.

Click 'Erase' in the top toolbar. Inpaint will process and completely remove the watermark from the image.
Photo Stamp Remover by SoftOrbits

Launch Photo Stamp Remover and click on 'Add Files' to upload the image(s).

Choose the image from which you wish to remove the watermark.

Click on 'Selection Marker' to activate the tool, then draw around the watermark to select it.

Once selected, click on 'Select' and then hit 'Remove'. Photo Stamp Remover will process the image and completely erase the watermark.
Alternative Methods

You can crop the watermark using a basic image editor if it's located at the top, bottom, sides, or corners of the image. Cropping will maintain the image quality, and you won't need to use any of the previously mentioned software or tools.

Search for a watermark-free version of the image on Google Images. If your image is a free-to-use or widely available one, you may find an unmarked version on Google Images. Simply drag and drop the image into the search bar at [https://www.google.com/imghp](https://www.google.com/imghp), and browse through the results for a watermark-free copy.

Consider looking for similar watermark-free images on free photo-sharing websites like Flickr and FreeImages. These platforms offer thousands of unmarked, free-to-use images for your projects.
