Mytour will show you how to report a user account on Facebook. This process can be done both via the mobile app and on the Facebook website. If the user posts content that is offensive or bothersome to you, you can report the post instead.
Steps
On mobile

Open Facebook. Tap the white "f" logo on a blue background to launch the Facebook app. Your News Feed will open if you're already logged in.
- If you're not logged in, enter your email address (or phone number) and password to continue.

Go to the profile of the person you want to report. Tap the search bar at the top of the screen, type the name of the person you wish to report, tap their name, and then tap their profile picture.
- Alternatively, you can find and click their name on your News Feed.
- You can also report a business page or a celebrity profile, though these reporting options are somewhat different.

Click on More (Other). This option is located near the top of the user's profile, just below and to the right of their name.

Click on Give feedback or report this profile (Send feedback or report this profile). This option appears in the pop-up menu. A new menu with reporting options will appear.

Select the reason you are reporting this profile. Choose one of the following options in the menu:
- Pretending to Be Someone
- Fake Account
- Fake Name
- Posting Inappropriate Content
- I Want to Help
- Other

Provide additional information if necessary. If you select Pretending to Be Someone or I Want to Help, proceed as follows:
- Pretending to Be Someone — Choose Me, A Friend, or Celebrity in the "Who are they pretending to be?" section.
- I Want to Help — Choose a reason (e.g., Suicide or Harassment) in the "Can you provide more details?" section.

Tap on Send (Send). This green button is located at the bottom of the screen.

Tap on Done (Done) when it appears. This will confirm that your report has been submitted.
On a Computer

Open Facebook. Go to https://www.facebook.com/ using a web browser on your computer. Your News Feed will appear if you are already logged in.
- If you are not logged in, enter your email address (or phone number) and password in the top-right corner of the page before continuing.

Go to the profile of the person you want to report. Click the search bar at the top of the screen, type in the name of the person you want to report, click their name, and then click their profile picture.
- Alternatively, you can find and click their name on your News Feed.

Click on the ⋯. This button is located in the top right corner of the cover photo on the person's profile. A dropdown menu will appear.

Click on Give feedback or report this profile. This option is found in the popup menu. A window with different reporting options will appear.

Select the reason you're reporting this profile. Click on one of the following options in the window:
- Pretending to Be Someone
- Fake Account
- Fake Name
- Posting Inappropriate Things
- I Want to Help

- I Want to Help — Select a reason (such as Suicide or Harassment) from the "Can you give us some more details?" section.

Click on Send (Send). This green button is located at the bottom right of the window.

Tips
- All reports are kept confidential. The person you report will not know that you were the one who reported them.
- If you see something you dislike (but it doesn’t violate Facebook’s Terms of Service), you can hide the post from your News Feed, unfriend or block the person, or send them a message asking them to take down the post.
Warning
- You should not report users who are not violating the rules. Reporting someone falsely, when they have done nothing wrong by Facebook's standards, could lead to your account being restricted.
- Be honest when reporting an issue.
