Once you reset your router password, you'll be able to log in and make any necessary changes or customizations. The only way to reset your router password is by restoring it to factory settings using the Reset button located directly on the device.
Steps
Netgear

Turn on your Netgear router and wait for about 1 minute to allow the device to boot up.

Locate the “Restore Factory Settings” button on your router. This button is typically marked with a red circle and a corresponding label.

Use a small, pointed object like a pen or paperclip to press and hold the “Restore Factory Settings” button for about 7 seconds.

Release the button once the “Power” light starts blinking, then allow the router to fully reboot. The device password will reset to default once the Power light stops blinking and turns green/white. At this point, the router’s default password will be “password”.
Linksys

Find the “Reset” button on your Linksys router. This is usually a small, circular button located on the back of the router, labeled in red ink.

Ensure the router is powered on, then press and hold the Reset button for at least 10 seconds. The “Power” LED will blink while you hold the Reset button.
- Older Linksys router models may require you to hold the Reset button for 30 seconds.

Unplug the router and plug it back in after the reset process is complete.

Wait for about 1 minute after the router reconnects to power, and the “Power” LED will stop blinking and remain steady. At this point, the router password has been reset to its default, and you can leave this field blank when logging into the router.
Belkin

Locate the “Reset” button on your Belkin router. This is typically a small, circular button on the back of the router, labeled in red ink.

Make sure the router is powered on, then press and hold the Reset button for at least 15 seconds.

Wait for at least 1 minute to allow the router to reboot. The Belkin router will begin restoring to its factory settings. Once this process is complete, you can leave the password field blank when logging into the router.
D-Link

Ensure that the D-Link router is powered on.

Use a small, pointed object like a pen or paperclip to press and hold the “Reset” button for about 10 seconds.

After 10 seconds, you can release the button and wait for the router to reboot automatically.

Once the router has restarted, wait at least 15 seconds before attempting to log in. At this point, the router has been reset to its default password, and you can leave the password field blank during login.
Other Router Brands

Ensure that the router is powered on.

Look for the “Reset” button on the router. In most cases, this button will be labeled accordingly; if not, search for a small button or hole that can only be pressed using a pen tip or paperclip.

Hold the Reset button for approximately 10-15 seconds. The router will begin restoring to factory settings and resetting the default password.
Log into the router using the default username and password.
Warning
- Please note that resetting the password and restoring factory settings will erase all configurations on the router, such as frequency, channel, and username. Any custom settings you configured before resetting the router will need to be reconfigured after this process is complete.
