Mytour will guide you on how to use your phone, tablet, or computer camera to scan QR codes. These square black-and-white codes, similar to barcodes, contain various types of information such as links, phone numbers, images, and more.
Steps
On iPhone

Open the Camera (Camera app) on your iPhone. Tap the Camera app, which has a black camera icon on a gray background.

Point the camera at the QR code. Your phone will quickly focus on the QR code.

- If the front camera is active, tap the camera icon in the lower-right corner of the screen to switch to the rear camera.

Make sure the QR code is centered on the iPhone screen. The four edges of the QR code should be visible on the phone screen.

Wait for the QR code to be scanned. Once the QR code is centered, it will be scanned instantly.
On Android

Tap on the search bar at the top of the screen.

Type qr code reader no ads (QR code reader without ads). The search results dropdown will appear.

Click on QR Code Reader - No Ads at the top of the dropdown menu. The application's page will appear.

Tap the INSTALL button on the right side of the screen.

Tap on the ACCEPT button in the center of the popup window. The QR Code Reader app will begin downloading.

Click on the OPEN button. This will replace the INSTALL button once the app is installed, and the QR Code Reader will launch.

Point your camera towards the QR code. Your phone will quickly focus on the QR code.

Ensure the QR code is centered on your phone screen. The QR code should fit neatly within the four corners of your Android screen.

Wait for the code to be scanned. After scanning, the QR code's image will appear on the screen, followed by its content (e.g., a link) beneath it.

- You can click on Other in the popup, then click the globe icon at the bottom-right of the next window to open the QR code's content in your web browser.
On Mac

Launch a web browser. Mac computers do not have a built-in QR code scanning feature or application. To scan QR codes, you'll need to use an online QR code scanner.

Go to the QR Web page. Visit https://webqr.com/. This site will scan QR codes using your Mac's built-in webcam.
- On some browsers (such as Google Chrome), you may need to click Allow when prompted to grant the website access to your camera.

Point the QR code towards the camera. The QR code should be facing your Mac's camera. You will see the code appear in the scanning window, centered on the page.
- You can also upload the QR code from your computer by clicking the camera icon at the top-right corner of the scan window, then clicking Choose File, selecting the QR code image, and clicking Open.

Adjust the QR code to be centered within the scanning window. Ensure that all four edges and corners of the QR code are inside the scan frame.

Wait for the scan. After the Mac camera focuses on the QR code, its content will appear in the frame at the bottom of the page. You can click it to open the content if you'd like.
Tip
- You can use QR codes on WhatsApp to verify accounts or add users to your Facebook Messenger contact list.
Warning
- QR codes may lead to malicious websites or inappropriate content. Avoid scanning QR codes from untrusted sources.
