This Mytour guide will show you how to add a secondary email address to your primary Yahoo account. This will give you a secondary Yahoo ID that can be used within the same inbox. All you need is a computer to create your secondary email address.
Steps

Open the Yahoo website. Visit https://www.yahoo.com/. The homepage of Yahoo will appear.

Open the inbox. Click on Mail in the top-right corner of the page, then enter your Yahoo email address and password if prompted.
- If you've recently logged into Yahoo, you may not need to re-enter your email and password.

Click Settings (Settings). This option is located on the right-hand side of your Yahoo inbox, represented by a gear icon. A dropdown menu will appear.

Click More Settings
(More Settings). This button is found near the bottom of the dropdown menu.

Click the Mailboxes tab. This option is located on the left side of the page.

Click Add (Add). This button is located under the "Email alias" section. Clicking it will open the form to add a new email address on the right side of the page.

Enter a secondary email address. Click on the "Your Email" field under the heading "Create a new Yahoo Mail address" and type in the desired email address followed by "@yahoo.com".
- For example, to use "humpbackwhale" as your email address, you would enter "[email protected]" in the "Your Email" field.
- You can use letters, numbers, underscores, and periods in your email address. Other characters are not allowed.
- Make sure to enter the correct email address, as you can only change your alias twice a year.

Click on Set up (Settings). This is the green button below the email address you provided. If the email address is available, you will be directed to the setup page.
- If the address is already in use, you will be prompted to choose a different email address.

Enter your name. Click on the "Your Name" text box located near the top of the page, then type the name you'd like others to see when sending emails from this address.

Click on Finish (Complete). This button is at the bottom of the page. Clicking it will add the secondary email address to your account.
- You can choose your email alias in the "From" field when composing an email by clicking on your current name and selecting the alias from the dropdown menu.
Tip
- You cannot add a secondary email address through the Yahoo mobile app, but you can select your alias in the "From" field when composing an email in the mobile app.
- This feature is especially useful for hiding your primary email address from anyone who may have access to it.
Warning
- You can only create one alias at a time.
