The homepage in your browser is the first webpage that appears when you launch it. Most browsers allow you to customize your homepage. Some browsers, including Chrome, even offer features to open multiple tabs upon startup. Mobile browsers like Safari do not support homepage customization, but there are still ways to work around this limitation.
Steps
Chrome

Select the Chrome Menu button (☰) located at the top-right corner of the browser window.

Select "Settings." This action opens the Settings menu in a new tab.

Choose the "On startup" option. Several choices are available to customize Chrome's startup behavior.
- Open the New Tab page. This displays Google's search bar and your most frequently visited websites.
- Continue where you left off. This reopens the tabs you were using before closing Chrome.
- Open a specific page or set of pages. This allows you to set which websites appear when Chrome starts. Click "Set pages" to choose the desired websites. Each added page will open in a separate tab.
Internet Explorer

Click the Gear icon located at the top-right corner of the Internet Explorer window. If you're using an older version, navigate to the "Tools" menu.
- If the menu bar is not visible, press the Alt key to display it.

Select "Internet options." This option is typically found at the bottom of the menu.

Add the website you want to open. In the General tab, enter the address of the website you want to set as your homepage. You can open multiple pages by listing each URL on a new line. Each page will open in a separate tab.
- Internet Explorer 6 does not support multiple tabs, so you can only set one homepage.
- You can set the current webpage as your homepage by clicking Use current.
- Click Apply when finished.
Firefox

Click the Firefox Menu button (☰) located at the top-right corner of the window.

Select "Options." It has a gear icon in the menu.

Choose the General tab. If the General tab at the top of the Options window is not active, select it.

Select a startup option. Choose one of the following three startup preferences:
- Show my homepage. This option opens your specified homepage, which can be set in the "Home Page" field.
- Show a blank page. Opens an empty tab when Firefox starts.
- Show my windows and tabs from last time. This option restores the windows and tabs that were open when you last closed Firefox.

Save your changes. Click OK to save your homepage settings.

Drag and drop a website onto the Home button. While browsing, you can set any webpage as your browser's homepage by dragging the website icon from the address bar to the Home button on Firefox's toolbar.
Safari for Mac OS X

Open the Safari menu. Select "Preferences."

Select the General tab. If the General tab at the top of the Options window is not active, click to activate it.

Choose a startup option. Select one of the following four startup preferences:
- Home Page. This option opens your desired homepage when Safari starts. You can set the homepage in the "Home page" field.
- Empty Page. This option opens a blank page when Safari launches. You can use the current page by clicking Set to Current Page.
- Same Page. This option reloads the page you were viewing when you last closed Safari.
- Bookmarks. This option opens pages from your bookmarks list when Safari starts.
Safari for iOS

Navigate to the page you want to set as your homepage. There is no traditional way to set a homepage on Safari, as the browser always reloads the last visited page. Instead, you can create a shortcut to your desired homepage on your iOS device's home screen.

Tap the Share button. On iPhones, it's at the bottom of the screen; on iPads, it's at the top. The icon looks like a box with an upward arrow.

Select "Add to Home Screen." This action adds an icon to your home screen, allowing you to launch Safari and load the webpage instantly with a single tap.

Use the new icon to launch Safari. You will be directed to the webpage immediately upon opening the app.
Android

Open the browser. You can change the homepage of the default browser on most Android devices. The browser is usually named "Browser" or "Internet."
- You cannot change the homepage for the mobile version of Chrome. Instead, Chrome reloads the last visited page or opens a blank tab with a list of frequently visited websites.

Press the Menu button. This could be a virtual button on the screen or a physical button on the device.

Select "Settings." Then choose "General."

Choose "Set homepage." You will see several options:
- Current page. This option sets the webpage you are currently viewing as your homepage.
- Blank page. This option loads a blank page.
- Default page. This option loads the default page with the Google search bar.
- Most visited sites. This option opens a list of your frequently visited websites.
- Custom page. This option allows you to manually set a custom homepage.
Opera

Click the Opera menu located at the top-left corner of the window.

Select "Settings > Preferences." This action opens the Settings menu in a new tab.

Select the "On startup" option. You can choose from the following preferences:
- Continue where I left off. This option reloads all the tabs you were using before closing Opera.
- Open the start page. This option opens the Speed Dial page, which includes the Google search bar and a selection of frequently visited websites.
- Open a specific page or set of pages. This option allows you to set any webpage as your homepage. Click "Set pages" to specify the pages to open. Each page will load in a separate tab.
