Sharing videos on Facebook is a fantastic way to let your friends know what you're watching and highlight the best videos out there! It's also a great method to share significant life moments, such as weddings or a child's first words. You can also edit specific details about the video in the "Editing a Video's Privacy and Information Details" section.
Steps
Share Your Friend's Video

Upload Your Personal Video from Your Computer

- Facebook only allows videos in the following formats: 3g2, 3gp, 3gpp, asf, avi, dat, divx, dv, f4v, flv, m2ts, m4v, mkv, mod, mov, mp4, mpe, mpeg, mpeg4, mpg, mts, nsv, ogm, ogv, qt, tod, ts, vob, and wmv. You can check the file format by right-clicking the file and selecting "Properties" on Windows or "Get Info" on Mac OS X. The file format will be listed next to "File Format" on Windows and "Kind" on Mac OS X.
- Facebook also imposes limits on video size and duration. You can only upload videos up to 1GB in size or 20 minutes in length.

Share a Video URL

- You can copy a URL by highlighting it, right-clicking, and selecting "" or pressing CTL+C.

- To paste the URL, right-click and select "Paste" or press CTL+V.
Share a Video Using the "Share" Feature

- On YouTube, this button appears as a linked text (e.g., "Share") below the video.
- On DailyMotion, it appears as an overlay with the word "Facebook" and the Facebook logo.
- If you're using another website, you may need to look for a differently styled "Share" button.

- On YouTube, a dropdown menu will appear. Click on the blue and white "f" logo, which represents Facebook.
- On DailyMotion, simply click the first Facebook logo overlay on the video.
- On other platforms, you may need to click on different versions of the Facebook logo to share.

Edit Video Privacy and Information Details
When sharing a video on Facebook, you can add additional information about it. Before clicking "Post" on Facebook or using the "Share" feature on other websites, consider what details you want to include with the video.

- Choose from Facebook's options like "feeling" or "watching." You can select from Facebook's suggestions or type your own response. For example, if you're watching a show, type its name; Facebook will likely find it, and you can click on it. However, if you want to say something like "watching my family" because you shared a meaningful vacation video, type that in the box. Since Facebook doesn't preset "my family," you'll need to scroll to the bottom of the preset options and click on your specific text (in this case, "my family").
