This article will guide you on how to split text into two columns in Microsoft Word using your computer.
Steps to follow

Open the Microsoft Word document you want to edit. Locate the file on your computer and double-click to open it.

Select the entire text you want to divide. Click at the start of the text and drag to the end. The selected text will turn blue.
- You can select the entire document by pressing the shortcut ⌘ Command+A on Mac or Control+A on Windows.

Select the Layout tab. This tab can be found in the toolbar at the top of the document.
- Depending on the version of Word you are using, this tab may be labeled as Page Layout.

Click on the Columns option in the Layout tab. This action will display a drop-down menu where you can choose the number of columns to divide your text into.

Click on the Two option in the drop-down menu. This will split the selected text into two columns.
- You can also choose to divide your text into more columns if needed.

Adjust the column width by moving the ruler above the document. You can click and drag the ruler to modify the width of the columns.
