This article will guide you on how to upload and store photos on your Google Drive account. You can use any web browser on a computer or the Drive app on your smartphone or tablet to upload photos to your account. Once uploaded, you can access and view your photos from anywhere using your Drive account.
Steps
Using a Computer

Open the Google Drive page on your computer browser. You can type or paste the URL https://drive.google.com into the address bar and press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard.

Double-click the folder where you want to store your photos. You can upload and save photos into any folder on Drive. This action will open the selected folder.
- Alternatively, you can click the New button in the top-left corner and select Folder to create a new folder for storing photos.

Click the + New button in the top-left corner. This button features a multi-colored "+" icon located at the top-left of the screen. A dropdown menu will appear.

Click the File upload option in the dropdown menu. This option is next to an icon resembling a sheet of paper with an upward arrow inside. A new file window will appear, allowing you to select the photos you want to upload.

Select the photos you want to store. Locate and click on the photos you wish to upload to your Drive account.
- To upload multiple photos at once, hold down the Ctrl (Windows) or ⌘ Cmd (Mac) key while selecting the photos.

Click the Open button in the pop-up window. This will upload all selected photos to the folder on Drive. You can store your photos here and access them from anywhere using your Drive account.
Using the Mobile App

Open the Drive app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. The app icon resembles a triangle with yellow, blue, and green sides, typically found in the app folder on your home screen or app tray.



Tap on the folder where you want to store your photos. This will open the selected folder.
- Alternatively, you can tap the multi-colored plus "+" icon at the bottom-right corner and select Folder to create a new folder for storing photos.

Tap the multi-colored plus + icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen. A pop-up menu with options will appear.

Tap the Upload option in the pop-up menu. This button features an upward arrow inside a horizontal bracket. Tapping it will open a list of file storage locations and folders on your phone or tablet.

Select the location where your photos are stored. You can choose Pictures, Photos and Videos, Gallery, or another storage location from the displayed list.

Tap on the image you want to upload. This will select the image and mark it with a blue checkmark.
- You can select all the images you wish to upload at this stage.
- On some Android versions, this action may automatically upload the selected images.

Tap the UPLOAD button. This blue button is located at the top-right corner of the screen. The selected images will be processed and uploaded to Drive. You can access your stored images from anywhere using your Drive account.
