Here’s how to subtly indicate you’re lesbian.

Reference LGBTQ+ Celebrities. Mention well-known LGBTQ+ figures such as Ellen DeGeneres or Kate McKinnon. Alternatively, you can bring up LGBTQ+ musicians like girl in red or Hayley Kiyoko for a fresh angle.
Wear LGBTQ+ Pride Items. Donning LGBTQ+ pride merchandise, like t-shirts, bracelets, or other accessories, can be a great way to drop hints about your sexuality. This will likely spark positive and curious conversations around your identity.
Wear a subtle thumb ring. While understated, thumb rings are often worn by lesbian and queer individuals to signify their sexual identity and relationship status. People may inquire about your ring or give it compliments—an opportunity to share that you're LGBTQ.
Set a pride flag as your phone wallpaper. Since you probably check your phone often, others will likely notice the pride flag wallpaper when you take it out.
Talk about the women or girls you're drawn to. If you'd like to subtly let people know about your sexual identity without directly stating it, you can weave hints into conversations. For example, if you want your best friend to realize you’re a lesbian, you might say, "Did you see that girl in Biology sitting next to me?" or "Wow, those beautiful eyes are hypnotizing!"
