In this article, Mytour will guide you through the steps to enjoy a 30-day free trial of Spotify Premium and how to cancel the subscription to avoid charges. While Spotify Premium eventually requires payment, the trial period gives you ample time to decide if it’s worth it. Keep in mind that you’ll need a Spotify account that hasn’t previously used a free trial. Additionally, you won’t be able to sign up for Premium using the desktop program or the iPhone version of the app.
Steps
Sign up for the Premium trial on your desktop

Open Spotify. Visit https://www.spotify.com/premium/ using your browser. The Spotify Premium page will open.

Click on START FREE TRIAL (Start Free Trial). This green button is located in the center of the Spotify page.

Enter your account details when prompted. If you’re not logged into Spotify, you’ll need to provide your email address, password, and then click LOG IN to proceed.
- If you’re already logged in, skip the next step.
- If you don’t have an account, click the Sign Up button at the bottom of the page and fill out the form to create a new Spotify account. Make sure to return to the Spotify Premium page after signing up.

Enter your payment information. Although you won’t be charged 400,000 VND for the first month, you’ll still need to provide details such as the cardholder’s name, card number, expiration date, and security code on the payment page.
- Spotify Premium no longer accepts PayPal: you’ll need a credit or debit card to complete this step.

Click on START 30-DAY FREE TRIAL NOW (Start 30-Day Free Trial Now). This blue button is located below the payment details. Your Premium subscription will activate immediately, allowing you to enjoy Spotify Premium features for free for 30 days. After the trial period, you’ll be charged 400,000 VND per month until you cancel your subscription.
- If you cancel at least one day before the trial ends, you won’t be charged for the next month.

Extend your trial period if desired. While it’s not possible to use Spotify Premium for free indefinitely, you can always create a new Spotify account using a different email address (or Facebook account) and cancel before being charged. Although it’s a bit tedious, this method allows you to continue enjoying Spotify Premium for free.
