You’ve just finished playing on your new PS5 and are about to power it off, but you can't find the power button on either the console or the controller. In fact, there are two different ways to turn off your PS5: either directly from the console or remotely through the buttons on the controller. Today, Mytour will guide you through both methods so you can choose the one that's most convenient for you.
Steps
Turning Off Directly from the Console

Locate the power button. The PS5 console does have a power button, but due to its design, it might not be immediately visible at first glance. Below the black strip running along the console, there are two thin black buttons. The one below is the power button.

Hold the power button. Press and hold this button for about three seconds until you hear two beeps.
- You need to wait for the second beep to sound; if you only hear the first beep, it means the PS5 is entering rest mode instead of powering off.
Turning Off Using the Controller

Locate the PS5 button. The PS5 button resembles the PlayStation symbol and is situated between the two thumbsticks (analog sticks).

Press the PS5 button. When you press the PS5 button, a menu will appear at the bottom of the screen. Select the power icon on the far right.

Select “Turn Off PS5” from the power menu. Finally, choose “Turn Off PS5” from the available options in the menu.
