Steps
Using the Remote Control

To turn on the TV with the remote, pick it up and press the power button.
- Learn more about using your TV's remote control for better understanding.
- If you have additional devices like speakers, gaming consoles, or DVD players, make sure to turn them on as well.
Using the Remote Control and Cable Box

Ensure the cable box is turned on first.
- Observe the cable box. Is it displaying numbers or a blank screen? If numbers are visible, the device might already be on.
- Grab the cable box remote. Sometimes, the TV and cable box use separate remotes.
- On a Comcast remote, press the "All On" button. If this remote controls both the TV and cable box, both devices will turn on simultaneously. If it only controls the cable box, proceed to the next step.

Press the power button on the TV remote.
- If the TV doesn't turn on, the issue might be with the remote. Check the batteries or press the "TV" button and try the power button again (for universal remotes).
- If the TV turns on but doesn't display a channel (showing a blue screen or "no signal" message), you need to:
- Check if the cable box is turned on.
- Ensure the TV is on the correct channel to receive the cable box signal. In many cases, this is channel "0".
When There's No Remote

To turn on the TV without a remote, simply approach the TV and press the power button. If you can't locate the power button, follow these steps:
- Refer to the TV's user manual if you still have it.
- Check if the TV has a touch-sensitive power button. It's usually located in the center of the control panel at the bottom of the TV.
- Inspect the left, right, and top sides of the TV, as some models place the power button in these areas. The power button is often identifiable by its size, color, label, or the power symbol (a circle with a vertical line).

Try to locate or replace the TV remote. First, make an effort to find the lost remote. If you can't find the remote and also can't locate the power button, consider purchasing a compatible remote for your current TV. If the remote is broken, you can search online for tips on how to repair it.
Tips
- Avoid hitting the TV or remote if they aren't working properly.
- Keep the user manual for every TV or electronic device you buy in a safe and accessible place so you can refer to it later when needed.
Warnings
- AVI TVs can be tricky to turn on because the power button is located at the very bottom, and the remote's power button is mixed among other buttons.
