Cleansing milk is a type of facial cleanser that helps remove makeup, dirt, and impurities from your face. Although it cannot treat acne or prevent breakouts, it aids in keeping your skin clean and radiant. To use cleansing milk, first wash your hands, apply it to your face and neck, then rinse thoroughly.
Steps
Apply the cleansing milk

Tie up your hair. Since you'll be leaning forward while using the cleansing milk, secure your hair to keep it away from your face. Tuck back your bangs and tie your hair into a ponytail with a hair tie.
- If you have short hair, you can use a headband instead of tying your hair.

Wash your hands. Be sure to thoroughly clean your hands before applying cleansing milk. Use soap and warm water to wash your hands properly, as they can carry bacteria that may cause acne or infections on your face.

Warm the cleansing milk to match your skin temperature. Pour the cleansing milk into your palm. Rub your hands together to warm the cleansing milk. Continue this for a few seconds until the milk reaches a temperature similar to that of your skin.

Apply the cleansing milk to your face. Use both hands to gently rub the milk on your cheeks. This action will help the cleansing milk absorb into your skin. Press your palms against your face and hold them there for 10 seconds before releasing.

Lightly tap your hands on your face five times. After applying the cleansing milk, gently place your hands on your face and stretch your skin about five or six times. This creates a pulling effect that lifts dirt to the surface, making it easier to wash away.

Massage your skin with the cleansing milk. Spread the cleansing milk across your face and neck. Gently massage it into your skin.
- While massaging, focus on areas where dirt and makeup tend to accumulate, such as the sides of your nose and the skin under your eyebrows.

Rinse with warm water. After completing the previous steps, rinse your face with warm water. Any leftover cleansing milk will be removed. You can also use a cotton pad or cloth to wipe off any remaining cleansing milk.

Remove remaining milk with a warm towel. Cleansing milk may leave some residue on your skin. If you still feel traces of it on your face, soak a towel in warm water, place it on your face for five seconds, then wipe off the cleansing milk.
- You may repeat this process three or four times to thoroughly remove any leftover cleanser.

Apply toner and moisturize afterward. Use your regular toner to balance your skin. This will cleanse deeply and help prevent acne. Afterward, apply your usual moisturizer or cream to lock in hydration and maintain the moisture level of your skin.
- This is also the perfect time to apply makeup if desired.
Identify when to use cleansing milk

Use cleansing milk in the morning and evening. Cleansing milk is gentle enough to be used both in the morning and at night. You can replace your regular face wash with cleansing milk. At night, use it to remove light makeup.

Use cleansing milk to remove makeup. Cleansing milk is designed to remove makeup, dirt, and impurities from the face, not to control oil or clear pores like a regular facial cleanser. To remove foundation or powder, apply the cleansing milk to your face like you would a regular face wash.
- If you wear heavy makeup, use a makeup remover first, then follow with the cleansing milk to remove makeup and dirt.

Use to remove eye makeup. Cleansing milk is also effective at removing eye makeup. To remove eye makeup, moisten a cotton pad with warm water, apply cleansing milk, and gently swipe the pad from the inner corner of your eye outward.
- Rinse off any remaining cleansing milk with warm water.
