This wiki page will guide you on how to download and use TikTok on a Windows or Mac computer. While TikTok is only available on Android or iPhone, you can use an Android emulator to run the mobile app on your computer.
Steps
Download Bluestacks
Visit https://www.bluestacks.com in your web browser. Open your preferred internet browser and go to the Bluestacks website.
Click on the Download Bluestacks button. This large green button is located at the center of the screen. Clicking it will direct you to a separate download page.
Click on the Download button. This large green button is located at the top of the page. The Bluestacks installer will be downloaded once you click it.
Double-click the Bluestacks installer. By default, downloaded files are located in the 'Download' folder. This file will be named 'BlueStacks-Installer' with some random characters at the end. On Windows, it will be an '.exe' file. On a Mac, it will be a '.dmg' file.
Click the Install Now button. This blue button is located at the bottom of the pop-up window.
- On a Mac, double-click the icon at the center of the screen.
Click the Complete button. This blue button is located at the bottom of the screen.
- On a Mac, click 'Continue', then click 'Install'. You may need to enter your Mac password. If the installation is blocked, click 'Go to System Preferences', then click the lock icon at the bottom left, enter your Mac password, and select 'Allow' in the 'Security & Privacy' window.
Install TikTok on Bluestacks
Launch Bluestacks. The app's icon features layers of blue, red, yellow, and green stacked on top of each other.
Click on the App Center tab. This is the second tab at the top of the screen. The process may take a few minutes to start up.
Log into your Google account. Enter the email address and password linked to your Google account. Fill in your first and last name if not pre-filled, then click the left-pointing arrow.
Type TikTok into the search bar. The search bar is located at the top left corner of the app, next to a yellow hourglass icon.
Click on the TikTok application. The app is black with a white musical note icon in the center.
Click Install (Install). This is the green button next to the app.
Click on Accept (Accept) in the pop-up window. The pop-up will notify you that the app needs access to the camera and other parts of your device.
Click Open (Open). Once the app is installed, you can click 'Open'. You can now log in or create an account to start using TikTok on your computer. Whenever you want to use TikTok on your computer, just launch BlueStacks, click on 'My Apps', and then click TikTok.
