How to Use Tinder

This is a guide to help you get started with Tinder, an online matchmaking app. To use Tinder, you first need to install the app and create an account. Once your account is set up and you're familiar with the interface and settings, you'll be able to quickly match with other users.

Download the Tinder app. You can get the Tinder app for iPhone from the App Store or from the Google Play Store if you're using Android.

Open the Tinder app by tapping the white flame icon.

Tap the blue button labeled LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK located at the bottom of the screen to log in with Facebook.

• You will need the Facebook app and a Facebook account to create a Tinder profile.

When prompted, select OK to allow Tinder to access your Facebook information.

• If your Facebook login details are not saved on your device, you will first need to enter your registered Facebook email and password.

When asked, tap Allow to enable location services for Tinder.

• To use Tinder, you must enable location services.

Decide whether you want to receive notifications. You can choose I WANT TO BE NOTIFIED or NOT NOW. After this step, your Tinder profile will be created using your Facebook account information.

• Tinder is free, but you can purchase Tinder Gold for additional features.

• Like (Thích) - Biểu tượng trái tim màu xanh lá được dùng khi bạn thích hồ sơ của ai đó, giúp hai bạn kết đôi nếu họ cũng thích bạn. Bạn cũng có thể vuốt hồ sơ của họ sang phải để thực hiện thao tác này.
• Super Like (Rất thích) - Sử dụng biểu tượng này khi bạn thích hồ sơ của người khác và muốn họ biết điều đó. Bạn có ba lượt “Super like” miễn phí mỗi tháng. Bạn cũng có thể vuốt hồ sơ của ai đó lên trên để thực hiện thao tác này.

Kiểm tra tin nhắn Tinder. Bạn sẽ chọn biểu tượng trò chuyện ở phía trên góc phải màn hình để thấy cuộc trò chuyện với những người đã kết đôi với mình.

Tap the profile icon, which is the person-shaped icon at the top left corner of the screen. This will open your profile where you can adjust some settings.

Tap SETTINGS (Settings) with the gear icon on your profile screen to open your Tinder settings.

Check out the "DISCOVERY" settings. These settings affect your search on Tinder and the people you can see.

• Location (iPhone), Swiping in (Android): Change your current location.
• Maximum Distance (iPhone), Search Distance (Android): Adjust the search radius for potential matches.
• Gender (iPhone), Show me (Android): Choose the gender you’re interested in. Currently, Tinder offers options for Men, Women, and Men and Women.
• Age Range (iPhone), Show Ages (Android): Set the age range of people you’re interested in.

Explore additional settings. You can adjust notification settings, review privacy policies, or log out of Tinder from this menu.

Take a look at your current photos. The image section is located at the top of the Profile Edit page. Here, you can perform a few actions:

• Drag and drop an image into the large frame to change your main profile picture.
• Tap the x in the bottom right corner of a photo to remove it from Tinder.
• Click the + button at the bottom right of the frame to upload a picture from your phone or Facebook.
• You can also toggle the Smart Photos slider to the right, allowing Tinder to automatically choose photos for you.

Provide a personal introduction. You’ll input your details under the "About (Name)" section.

• Your bio is limited to 500 characters.

Review your personal information. You can update several details, including:

• Current Work - Tap to explore other options for your current job.
• School - Choose a school from your Facebook details or select None.
• My Anthem - Pick a song from Spotify to set as your personal anthem.
• I Am - Choose your gender identity.

Tap the flame icon in the top right corner of the screen to return to the Tinder homepage and begin searching for potential matches.

Swipe right on someone’s profile if you like them. Alternatively, tap the heart icon. This action indicates your interest and that you want to match with them.

Swipe left on a profile if you want to skip it. You can also tap the X icon. This will ensure that the profile won’t appear on your Tinder feed anymore.

Wait for a match. If you like someone and they like you back, that means you’ve matched! You’ll receive a notification and will be able to start chatting with them through messages.

Tap the message icon in the top right corner of the screen.

Tap the name of the person you matched with. Their name will appear on the message screen, but you can still use the search bar at the top of the page to find a specific person.

Send an impressive first message. When initiating contact, make sure your first message is friendly and confident without being overly forward.

• Avoid simply saying "Hello". Instead, try something like "Hey, how’s your day going?"
• Make an impression with your opening message.

Show consideration. It’s easy to forget that you’re chatting with a real person on Tinder. So always remember to maintain a positive, kind attitude and show respect when communicating with your match.

• Avoid using Tinder while traveling as it can affect the location you want to search for potential matches, even after returning home.

• Inappropriate behavior or solicitation can result in your account being banned.
