Wireless headphones have many advantages over traditional wired ones. Since they are connected through Bluetooth technology, they don’t have the long, tangled wires that often get knotted up in your bag. Wireless headphones can also connect with a variety of Bluetooth-enabled devices such as smartphones and tablets. Try different types of wireless headphones to find the ones that best fit your ears.
Steps
Choose the right-fitting headphones

Test different brands and models to find the most comfortable fit. Our ear canals come in various shapes and sizes, so no one pair of headphones will fit everyone. Try different brands of headphones, which you can borrow from friends or family members, to see which one feels most comfortable. Alternatively, you can ask the sales assistant at an electronics store to let you try different headphones to see which pair fits best.
- Generally, men have larger ear canals than women, so they may need larger-sized headphones.

Insert the earphones snugly into your ears. To transmit sound effectively, the earphones need to be inserted tightly into the ear, as close as possible to the eardrum. Rotate the earphone 2-3 times to ensure they stay securely in place.
- Placing the wireless earphones tightly into the ear canal will also help block out surrounding noise from entering the ear.

Gently pull your earlobe to secure the earphones in place. After positioning the earphones in your ear, use your opposite hand to gently pull your earlobe, making the ear canal slightly wider. Then, use the index finger of the other hand to press the earphone into the right position.
- For instance, to secure the earphones in your right ear, use your left hand to gently pull the earlobe, and with your right index finger, push the earphone further into the ear canal.

Clean your ears if the earphones don't fit properly. Accumulated earwax can alter the shape and size of the ear canal, causing the earphones to no longer fit correctly or easily fall out. If you notice that the earphones no longer fit as before, you can improve the fit by gently cleaning your ears with a cotton swab.
- It's also important to clean your ears if you notice earwax left on the earphones when you remove them. However, be careful not to push the wax deeper into your ear; simply use the cotton swab to gently clean the outer ear canal.

If possible, try to minimize jaw movements while using earphones. Depending on the shape of your ear and the distance from your jaw to the earphones, moving your jaw can cause the earphones to loosen. Although you can’t avoid jaw movement during phone calls, try to limit unnecessary movements when using earphones for other activities.
- For example, chewing gum or snacking while listening to music could cause the earphones to become loose and fall out due to jaw movement.
Use wireless earphones

Pair the earphones with your phone or other devices. Tap the Bluetooth button on your phone or other devices (such as a tablet or laptop) and power on the earphones. Then, press the "seek" button on one side of the earphones. Once the earphones appear in your phone's Bluetooth menu, tap on them to connect. Please note that it may take a few minutes to connect wireless earphones to a new device.
- Refer to the phone's user guide for detailed instructions on pairing your phone with wireless devices.

Control the earphones with the included remote. Many wireless earphones come with a small remote, about 5x7.5 cm in size. Use this remote to skip tracks, adjust the volume, or mute incoming calls.
- Don’t forget to bring the remote when going out (for instance, when walking with the earphones on), or it will be difficult to adjust the music to your liking.
- If you forget the remote, you can still control the music from your phone (or other devices).

Press the button on the side of the earphones if no remote is included. Many wireless earphones do not come with a remote but feature small buttons on the side. Use these buttons to pause, play, skip tracks, or answer, mute, or reject calls. Be sure to familiarize yourself with these buttons before putting the earphones on to avoid pressing the wrong ones.
- If the buttons are too small to press accurately, you can also control the music or reject calls from your phone's interface.

Clean the earphones if earwax builds up. If earwax accumulates on the part of the earphones that goes into your ear, clean them using a cotton ball with a little rubbing alcohol, gently wiping the dirty surface until all earwax is removed.
- Do not use soap to clean wireless earphones, and never rinse them under running water.

Charge the wireless earphones when not in use. Although each earphone type has its own charging mechanism, most include a small charging port. Plug this port into an outlet in your bedroom or living room and connect the earphones to the charger whenever they’re not in use.
- If you forget to charge the earphones, you may not be able to use them when needed. For example, if you rely on wireless earphones for an important meeting, running out of battery can cause major issues.
Advice
- With advancements in battery technology and wireless tech, modern wireless earphones can now last longer without needing to be recharged. Some models can last for more than 30-35 hours of use.
