Are you curious about how often you’ve listened to your favorite songs, artists, and podcasts on Spotify? This guide explains how to access your Spotify statistics through Spotify Wrapped, an annual summary of your listening habits that you can view and share with friends. Additionally, you’ll learn how to discover your most-played artists, songs, and genres throughout the year using free tools like Last.fm, Spotistats, and Stats for Spotify.
Steps
Stats for Spotify

Visit https://www.statsforspotify.com using a web browser. Unlike Spotify Wrapped, which only displays annual data, Stats for Spotify can be used year-round. You can even compare new and old statistics to see how your music preferences have evolved over time.
- This website is accessible on computers, phones, or tablets.

Click on Login with Spotify. This is the green button located in the center of the page.

Log in using your Spotify account. If you haven’t logged into Spotify on your web browser, follow the on-screen instructions to sign in.

Click Agree to grant Stats for Spotify access to your account. If logged in, you’ll see details about the permissions Stats for Spotify requires to display your data. By proceeding, you allow this web application to view your Spotify activity.
- This is a reputable website, so there’s no need to worry. You can revoke access at any time via https://spotify.com/account if you no longer wish to use the service.
- Stats for Spotify cannot view your password or modify payment details associated with your account.

Click on the button for the data you want to view. You can check Top Tracks (Most Played Songs), Top Artists (Most Played Artists), or Top Genres (Most Played Genres).

Select a time range. Stats for Spotify allows you to view data for last 4 weeks, last 6 months, or lifetime.
- During your next visit, you’ll notice arrows next to artists, songs, and genres in the list, indicating whether your listening has increased or decreased since the last time.
Spotistats for Spotify (Backtrack)

Download the Spotistats for Spotify app from the App Store or Play Store. This free app provides similar insights to Spotify Wrapped throughout the year. You can find the app by searching for "Spotistats for Spotify" in your phone or tablet’s app store, or by visiting https://spotistats.app and tapping the link for Google Play or App Store.
- The developer of the app is "Sjoerd Bolten." You may see similarly named apps, but this guide specifically refers to the app by the aforementioned developer.
- Spotistats for Spotify is planning to rebrand as Backtrack, so don’t be surprised if you see that name in search results!

Open Spotistats for Spotify and tap Log in. The app will appear in your list of installed apps after downloading.
- You’ll need to grant the app permission to access the Spotify login page before proceeding.

Log in with your Spotify account. Use the same credentials you use for Spotify. The app cannot view your password or modify payment settings.

Tap AGREE to grant the app access to your data. Spotistats requires permissions to view certain aspects of your account. If you agree to the permissions displayed on the screen, you can proceed.
- If you decide to stop using the app in the future, you can revoke access at any time by visiting https://spotify.com/account.

Tap the chart icon to view your top listening stats. This is the second icon at the bottom of the screen. Here, you’ll find your most-played songs, artists, and albums across different time periods.
- You can change the time frame by tapping 4 weeks, 6 months, or lifetime at the bottom of the screen.
- If you’ve upgraded to the Plus version of the app, you’ll see detailed stats for your selected time frame, including total plays or minutes spent listening to specific songs or artists.
Last.FM

Visit https://www.last.fm using your browser. Creating a free Last.FM account allows you to track your Spotify listening habits, including total minutes streamed, by "scrobbling" (or recording) your plays.
- You can set up Last.FM to track Spotify plays on your computer, phone, or tablet.

Create an account. If you don’t have an account, click the SIGN UP link at the top-right corner of the screen to register.

Go to https://www.last.fm/about/trackmymusic. You’ll be directed to a page with various tracking options. You don’t need to download the Last.FM app to track your plays, so avoid clicking or tapping any download links.

Scroll down and click Connect under "Spotify." You’ll see the type of information Last.FM requires to access your Spotify account. Last.FM has been around for over a decade, so you can trust that they won’t alter your account details.

Click Agree to proceed. This links Last.FM with Spotify. Once connected, every song you play on Spotify will be recorded by Last.FM, helping you track your listening habits.
- To disconnect Last.FM from Spotify, hover over your profile picture in Last.FM (or tap the menu on mobile or tablet), click Settings, select Applications, and then click DISCONNECT.

Click your profile picture to view listening statistics. If you’ve just set up Last.FM, you won’t see much data yet—but as you continue listening, you’ll gain access to detailed insights, including your top artists, albums, and songs.

Filter stats by time period. Last.FM allows you to view top stats for Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 180 days, Last 365 days, and All time. You can also click or tap the gear icon next to any stat to customize the default time range, enabling you to view data for your preferred period directly on your profile.
Spotify Wrapped 2021

Open the Spotify app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad. The annual Spotify Wrapped summary is only available on the mobile app, so you’ll need a phone or tablet to view your stats.
- If you don’t have a phone or tablet, you can still find your top songs on the Home tab of the desktop app—just scroll down to the "2021 Wrapped" section to see the Your Top Songs 2021 playlist.
- If you’re using Spotify Lite, visit http://spotify.com/wrapped in your phone or tablet’s browser to access your Wrapped summary.

Tap the Search tab. This is the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen.

Tap See how you listened in 2021. This option appears at the top of the search screen. The Spotify Wrapped summary will then display.
- You can also find Spotify Wrapped on the Home tab under the "Your 2021 in review" section and in the Top Songs playlist.

Explore your Spotify Wrapped 2021 summary. This overview highlights your most-played songs, artists, and genres, along with your listening stats from January 1 to November 1 of the current year.
- You can tap or swipe to skip through sections if desired.

Share your Spotify Wrapped summary. You can share each screen of your Spotify Wrapped with friends via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, messaging apps, and other platforms by tapping Share this story at the bottom of the screen.
