Since June 2021, Instagram no longer allows users to view others' follower lists in chronological order. Previously, there were workarounds to check your friends' follower lists using a web browser, but these methods are no longer effective. So, what can you do if you want to know someone's new followers? This article introduces some tools to help you identify your friends' new followers on Instagram, along with other methods to explore on your own.

Are there apps or services to track followers?
Snoopreport. This is a popular option for tracking the activity of up to 100 Instagram accounts, and it’s not limited to just tracking followers. You can also see posts your friends have liked, their new followers, and who they are most interested in (based on their likes). Since it’s an online service, you don’t need to install an app or provide your Instagram login details. - You need physical access to the person's phone or tablet to install the app. Note that this app is designed for monitoring children, not adults—adults will likely notice the app on their device and realize they are being monitored. Installing monitoring software on someone else's phone without their consent is also illegal.
Other Instagram tracking apps. While you can find many apps on the App Store or Play Store that claim to track your friends' followers and their activity on Instagram, be cautious when installing them. If an untrustworthy app requests your login credentials, it could gain access to your Instagram account. Instagram may also lock your account if you use such apps. Always research thoroughly before installing any app to monitor others on Instagram.
What if I don’t want to use an app?
Memorize your friends' follower lists. If you know who follows them, you can periodically check for new additions to their follower list. This can be challenging if your friend has many followers but easier if their follower count is low.
Check likes on your friends' new posts. While not entirely accurate, this method can help you identify if your friends are interacting with someone they didn’t know before. Tap the like count below their three most recent posts and compare it to past likes. Do you notice any new names? It’s possible that person recently followed your friend or vice versa.
