Converting your airsoft AEG to HPA offers benefits like easy FPS adjustments, quieter shots, instant trigger response, and greater consistency. Keep in mind, though, that you'll need an HPA rig, which includes an air tank, a regulator, and a way to carry the tank. Before proceeding, ensure your primary field permits HPA setups, as some don't.
Steps

Disassemble the gearbox from the gun. Every airsoft gun is unique, but you should be able to access the internals by removing pins and screws that hold the body halves together. Don't forget to keep track of the screws.
- After separating the body, you should see a large metal part with wires running into it. This is the gearbox.
- Some screws may be securing the gearbox in place; remove them if present.
- Remove the gearbox along with the motor (usually a cube-like structure located in the pistol grip). Set these components aside and move the body parts away.

Open the gearbox. To open the gearbox, remove the screws securing the halves together. Make sure the front of the gearbox is facing you on the right. You can now lift the top shell of the gearbox, revealing the gears and pistons inside.

Disassemble the Gearbox. You'll need a screwdriver for some steps. Remove the parts in this order:
- Spring and buffer tube/spring guide. Keep the buffer tube/spring guide for later use.
- The bevel gear, which will be closest to you.
- The piston system.
- The remaining two gears.
- The trigger and trigger spring. Retain these, along with the trigger screws, for reassembly later.
- The trigger contacts and wiring.
- Any other components still inside the gearbox.

Attach the trigger board. Using the trigger screws you previously removed, position the trigger board where the trigger contacts were, and secure it in place.

Place the main HPA module. Take the main HPA module and position it where the piston used to be. Make sure the notches on both the gearbox and the HPA module align properly.

Link the trigger board with the main module. Connect the wiring from the main HPA module to the trigger board by plugging it in securely.

Connect the wiring harness. Attach the wiring harness by snapping it into place on the trigger board.

Place the HPA tube. Run the tube through the pistol grip area of the gearbox.

Set the wiring harness in place. Position the wiring harness along the same path as the cables that were previously connected to the battery.

Reattach the trigger. Insert the trigger back into its position just as you removed it. Position it over the trigger spring, ensuring that both the trigger and spring are properly aligned.

Reinstall the buffer tube. Ensure that it faces toward the main HPA module.

Close the gearbox. Attach the second half of the gearbox, making sure no parts are pinched, and secure the two halves by screwing them back together.

Reinstall the gearbox into the gun. Once in place, close up the gun, and you're all done.
