I wanted to get my lips done, to raise my flat nose, tattoo my eyebrows, but when I see myself like this, I fear my husband might grab a hammer to hit me. I might be too scared to go out, afraid people would run away from me. I'd be so shocked looking at myself, and the money spent would feel wasted. If my husband rejects me, at least I’ll be safe from his complaints. It’s better to stay as I am—ugly but at peace.
