How-To Steps
Begin the Challenge
Talk to the man behind the Medali Gym front desk if you haven’t yet. He has black hair, a mustache, and wears a suit. He’ll give you your clue: “Find out how the regulars season their dishes.”
- You can skip straight to the solution if you like, but doing so means missing out on trainer battles, experience, and prize money.
Head to the Treasure Eatery. From the Gym’s exit, turn right. Take the next right, then keep going straight. Look for a white building with a red awning and green trees around it—that’s the place.
Inside the Eatery, speak to the suited man at the bar. When you approach, his dialogue says "*munch munch munch*".
- Choose Are you a regular here?. He’ll answer and give you your clue’s solution: lemon.
Leave the Treasure Eatery. Time to track down the remaining three clues by challenging other trainers. You can find them in any order, so feel free to go your own way through the puzzle.
Clue #1
Head straight until you spot a trainer with a yellow-outlined dialogue bubble. This is Santiago the Student, standing beside a girl on a bench next to her Lechonk.
Challenge Santiago to a battle. Defeat him in a Pokémon fight to earn his clue. Santiago uses a single level 34 Dunsparce.
- Once you win, he reveals the hint: "Listen really closely to the blue bird Pokémon."
Track down the blue bird. Turn around and go down the street until you find someone with a blue Squawkabilly perched on their head.
Get close to the person and their Squawkabilly. They’ll start talking in speech bubbles, and after a few lines, the Squawkabilly will say "meedyum" in orange text.
- The answer here is meedyum, which means medium.
Clue #2
Take a left and head down the street. You'll pass a trainer with a Greedent standing on your left.
Turn right halfway down to enter the courtyard. You'll spot several tables shaded by red umbrellas inside.
Walk up to the short girl across the courtyard. Adara the Student is waiting there with a yellow-outlined speech bubble.
Battle Adara. She uses a level 34 Greedent and a level 34 Gumshoos.
- Once defeated, she shares her clue: "Look for something that's the odd one out at one of the ice cream stands."
Head left past Adara toward the cluster of food stalls. Look for the ice cream stand decorated in pink, blue, and white, located on the right with three balloons.
Check out the inventory at the ice cream stand. Scroll all the way down to find grilled rice balls—an unusual item at an ice cream shop.
- The correct answer to this clue is grilled rice balls.
Clue #3
Leave the courtyard. Head back to Adara, make a right turn, and return to the main road.
Turn right and continue straight until you spot the next trainer. You’ll find Gisela the Student standing next to a tree on the left side of the street, marked by a yellow-outlined speech bubble.
Battle Gisela. She sends out a level 34 Ursaring.
- Defeat her to receive this clue: "Look for a dark spot surrounded by stairs."
Head into the amphitheater behind Gisela. Walk down the stairs toward the archway covered with a metal grate.
Inspect the archway. A message will appear: "What's this…? There's some faint writing here. It says 'Fire Blast.'"
- This clue’s answer is Fire Blast.
Submitting Your Answer
Go back to Treasure Eatery. Leave the amphitheater, and in the gap between the café and the sandwich shop, you’ll find Treasure Eatery waiting.
Talk to the staff member in the green apron. You'll find them standing near the restaurant’s front entrance, just off to the right.
Place your order for the secret menu item. Use the clues in this order:
- Grilled rice balls
- Medium serving
- Extra crispy, Fire Blast style
- Lemon
- The Treasure Eatery will transform into the battle arena. Talk to the worker in the green apron once more to begin your Gym match.
