- Choose the photo or video you want to restore.

Recovery Instructions

Launch the Gallery App. Tap the flower icon to open the default photo and video app on your Samsung Galaxy device.
- This method helps you find and easily restore your deleted photos and videos.

Tap the ☰. This three-line menu icon, located in the bottom-right corner, will open a menu when tapped.

Tap Recycle Bin or Trash. The wording may vary depending on your region, and a trashcan icon will appear next to the settings gear.

Tap the photo or video you wish to restore. The item will open up.
- Alternatively, press and hold the thumbnail until a checkmark appears, then continue selecting other items to restore.

Tap Restore. You’ll see this option next to a circular arrow icon at the bottom-left corner. Depending on your region, you may see an option labeled "Restore all" instead.
- The selected photos and videos will be restored to your Gallery.
Restoring Other Files

Open the My Files app. This is Samsung's default file manager on phones and tablets.
- Use this method if you're looking for deleted files like audio files or notes. It's also possible to recover photos and videos this way, though the Gallery app may be more convenient for those types of files.

Tap Recycle Bin or Trash. This option appears below all your storage locations like "Internal Storage" and "Google Drive."

Select the items you want to restore by tapping them. A checkmark will appear next to each selected item.
- You can also press and hold an item to mark it, then continue selecting additional files.
- If you don't see the deleted item, it may have been permanently deleted after more than 30 days.

Tap Restore all. This button can be found at the bottom of your screen and may also appear as "Restore". It will restore all selected files.
- You can also recover deleted files from Google Drive in a similar way.
-
Samsung Cloud provides daily backups, but it won't be much help if over 30 days have passed since a file was deleted. However, you can still use Samsung Cloud to recover any lost Samsung Notes.
-
Files can be restored from the trash within 30 days of being placed there, after which they are permanently deleted.
-
