How to Pray for Forgiveness of Sins
Get into a comfortable position. There’s no specific posture required for prayer. Whether you kneel, stand, bow, or walk—whatever makes you feel at ease works just fine.
Address God directly. Think of prayer like having a conversation with a close friend, except this friend is God. Begin your prayer with words like “Father,” “God,” or “Almighty God” to draw His attention.
- Feel free to speak to God either out loud or in your thoughts. Either way, He will listen to you.
Express what’s on your heart. Ask God for forgiveness of your sins and seek guidance for whatever is troubling you. Speak openly with Him—nothing is too small to bring to His attention.
