While some argue about the authenticity of the Moon landings, others believe they were orchestrated to conceal secret operations aimed at establishing lunar and extraterrestrial bases.
It is widely accepted that the US government likely manages a black budget, funding covert projects hidden from public scrutiny. Some theories are so extraordinary that they captivate curiosity and demand further exploration.
10. Alternative 3 - The Controversial Broadcast That Sparked Endless Speculation

Shortly after the airing of the documentary Alternative 3 on Anglia TV in the UK in 1977, the station was flooded with calls from viewers who were both alarmed and puzzled. The program detailed a covert space initiative that had allegedly been running for years, involving the world's leading scientists in setting up a Martian colony as a precaution against an imminent global catastrophe.
Due to the overwhelming reaction, Anglia TV was compelled to clarify that the documentary was a fabricated story, designed as a work of fiction. Initially planned for an April 1 release, it was postponed and eventually broadcast on June 20.
However, some skeptics remained unconvinced, insisting for years that the documentary was a genuine portrayal of actual events. This fictional program inadvertently sparked a wave of conspiracy theories about clandestine space operations, which would later permeate mainstream discourse.
9. Project Serpo

In 2005, an online narrative emerged about a covert space initiative designed to establish contact with extraterrestrial beings from Serpo, a supposed planet in the Zeta Reticuli star system. The account was shared by Victor Martinez, who asserted he was a government employee.
The informant chose to stay anonymous. The whistle-blower revealed that authorities had salvaged a living extraterrestrial from the Roswell incident, along with the spacecraft and deceased alien crew. The survivor was kept in a hidden facility until 1952, aiding researchers in deciphering and repairing the damaged craft while facilitating communication with its home planet.
By 1964, the “Ebens” revisited Earth and negotiated an exchange program with the US government, known as Project Serpo. Twelve military personnel were chosen for the mission, and their civilian identities were erased.
The team departed Earth in 1965 to gather knowledge from their extraterrestrial hosts. The source claimed that contact with the 12 travelers was lost for years, but they eventually returned in 1978, with only eight members remaining.
Reportedly, two members of the mission perished, while two others chose to remain on the planet Serpo. The returnees underwent extensive debriefing by authorities, with their accounts allegedly spanning more than 3,000 pages.
8. Solar Warden

The “Solar Warden” theory posits the existence of a covert fleet of spacecraft operating within our solar system. Opinions vary on its purpose, with some suggesting it safeguards Earth from potential alien threats, while others believe it facilitates the colonization of solar system territories, possibly for an elite group.
Critics contend that funding such a fleet, assuming the technology exists, would require billions of dollars. Proponents argue that beyond the black budget, there is an even more concealed financial source, and the technology likely stems from reverse-engineered alien spacecraft. Many agree that classified technology is typically two decades ahead of what the public perceives as cutting-edge.
Despite the improbability of this theory, Dr. Eric Norton, a NASA consultant, claimed to have identified a fleet of “technologically advanced” spacecraft on the far side of the Moon. He reported first detecting the fleet in 2012 and noted that within a year, Mars had fallen significantly behind the fleet’s position, implying that they were moving toward Earth.
7. Project Horizon

In 2014, the National Security Archive declassified documents outlining Project Horizon, a covert initiative launched in 1959 to explore the feasibility of establishing a permanent lunar base. While it appeared to advance space exploration, the project’s primary goal was to outmaneuver the Soviet Union during the escalating tensions of the Cold War in the 1960s.
The proposal outlined the establishment of a “Moon-to-Earth surveillance system” to serve as an observational platform for monitoring Earth. Additionally, the team compiling the data and drafting the initial report emphasized the urgency of commencing construction without delay.
While the US successfully landed astronauts on the Moon multiple times between 1969 and 1972—assuming the Moon landings did occur for this discussion—their visits were brief, limited to conducting basic experiments and gathering lunar rock samples.
Naturally, this is the official narrative. However, some conspiracy theorists argue that the Moon missions were a smokescreen, with the real objective being the covert construction of a permanent base, unbeknownst to the public. The declassified documents are accessible in the national archives.
6. The Rosetta Conspiracy

In late 2014, the European Space Agency successfully landed the Rosetta probe on comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko. This milestone enabled the first-ever close examination of a comet’s composition and hinted at the potential for future space mining operations to extract valuable resources from these fast-moving celestial bodies.
Undoubtedly a historic achievement, but some believe the official narrative was a facade. They argue that Comet 67P was not a comet but an alien spacecraft, with both the European Space Agency and NASA deliberately concealing the truth.
They pointed out that a whistle-blower had emerged and that it was implausible for space agencies to “suddenly invest billions of dollars” merely to photograph a “random comet” on a mission spanning over a decade. Additionally, they claimed NASA had detected unexplained signals from the vicinity of Comet 67P more than 20 years prior. Allegedly, the comet’s structure seemed artificial, with “mechanical components” visible on its surface.
The European Space Agency inadvertently fueled these theories by announcing that Comet 67P emitted a peculiar “mystery song.”
5. Time Travel To Mars

Insiders Michael Relfe and Dr. Andrew D. Basiago allege that the CIA engaged in time travel experiments as early as the late 1960s. These experiments allegedly enabled not only time travel but also teleportation to Mars. Some sources even suggest that this technology was derived from Nikola Tesla’s documents, which were reportedly seized shortly after his death in the 1940s.
Relfe claimed he participated in this covert operation after being recruited by the CIA in 1976. He asserted that he spent 20 years on the project, contributing to the establishment of one of two Martian colonies. Strangely, Relfe also stated that upon completing his mission, he underwent an “age reversal” process and was sent back to his original time. He described this as standard practice, with most participants having their memories suppressed or erased.
Dr. Basiago also revealed his knowledge of the US government’s secret time travel initiative, asserting that the CIA recruited gifted schoolchildren for these missions, as their minds adapted better than those of adults. Basiago claimed that many adults suffered mental breakdowns due to the overwhelming stress on their developed minds.
The program allegedly served not only to colonize Mars but also to secure political dominance globally. For instance, Basiago stated that in 1971, he was shown future images of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, retrieved through time travel.
4. Secret Nazi Space Program Guided by Reptilian Aliens

While it’s widely known that the Nazis staked a claim in Antarctica, allegedly to establish a covert base, fewer are aware that they were also developing a secret space program from Earth’s northernmost regions. Even more astonishing, this endeavor was reportedly guided by reptilian extraterrestrials.
These assertions stem from US Navy Intelligence officer William Tompkins, who explicitly states that a reptilian alien race provided the Nazis with the advanced knowledge needed to launch their space initiative. These aliens allegedly directed the Nazis to hidden Antarctic territories, which were purportedly controlled by an ancient extraterrestrial civilization.
Whether the Nazis achieved success in their alleged space program remains a mystery. However, conspiracy theories have long suggested that they not only succeeded but also established a lunar base. Following World War II, through Operation Paperclip, these scientists reportedly continued their work under the US government.
3. The Apollo 20 Mission To An Ancient Alien Moon Base

In April 2007, videos surfaced on YouTube purporting to depict a Moon mission from August 1976. The uploader, William Rutledge, has also made claims about other classified space missions.
Rutledge claimed that his team secretly landed on the Moon in 1976 and discovered an ancient alien base. Even more astonishing, if his account is to be believed, they also encountered a female alien humanoid in a “state of suspended animation, neither dead nor alive!”
They referred to the alien as Mona Lisa.
Rutledge described the alleged alien as weighing approximately 75 kilograms (165 lb) and standing 170 centimeters (5’6″) tall. He noted that she had five fingers and a thumb, leading him and his team to speculate that the alien’s mathematical system might be based on 12 rather than 10.
Rutledge added that, with only basic medical knowledge, his team prepared to transport Mona Lisa to Earth. Upon releasing the videos, he declared, “She is not on the Moon—she is on Earth!”
2. X-37B - What Is Its Purpose?

By May 2016, the unmanned X-37B space shuttle had completed a year in orbit around Earth. Yet, the mission’s purpose remained a mystery to the public, known only to those directly involved.
NASA has maintained silence on the matter. Meanwhile, Russian media has speculated that the X-37B is part of a US initiative to destroy satellites from space, echoing the “Star Wars” program from the Ronald Reagan era.
While independent analysts doubt the Russian claims that the X-37B carries weapons—citing its design as unsuitable for such purposes—they acknowledge that NASA’s secrecy fuels unnecessary speculation and intrigue.
Laura Grego, a senior scientist at the Global Security Program, has openly stated that she finds “no compelling reason” for the X-37B’s mission to remain so classified. She also questions what experiments could possibly require such high levels of secrecy.
1. Remote Viewing To Jupiter

One of the most bizarre alleged secret space programs reportedly took place without anyone physically leaving Earth. Before Pioneer 10 transmitted the first close-up images of Jupiter during its historic journey through the asteroid belt, the CIA was said to have conducted covert experiments in remote viewing, collaborating with Stanford University scientists on the project.
Ingo Swann, a participant in this program, gained attention for his claims of remote viewing—leaving his physical body, traversing beyond Earth, passing Mars and the asteroid belt, and observing Jupiter with his astral form. He notably reported seeing a “ring” around the planet.
When Pioneer 10 conducted its flyby mission, it confirmed the presence of rings around Jupiter, a fact largely unknown to scientists at the time of Swann’s assertion. To further validate his claims of astral projection, Swann accurately identified objects sealed in envelopes located hundreds of miles from his physical location.
Remote viewing remains a fringe science, largely dismissed by mainstream academia. However, Swann’s assertions are intriguing, and he may be the only individual to have “traveled” to Jupiter—albeit in a non-physical sense.
