Some people express themselves through painting, others through scrapbooking, and some craft 5000 marshmallow Peeps into a dragon sculpture inspired by Game of Thrones. While candy art might sound unconventional, it’s actually quite popular leading up to Easter, with various organizations hosting Peeps art competitions across the nation.
The dragon mentioned earlier, along with the other pieces featured here, were part of the “PEEPshow” contest—a fundraiser for the Carroll County Arts Council in Westminster, Maryland. This event made history as the first-ever Peeps art exhibition when it first took place 12 years ago.
Keep scrolling to check out some of the most impressive Peeps sculptures from the last few years (2017-2019), and visit the Art Council’s website to explore all the submissions from this year’s event. (As of Friday afternoon, a Warhol-inspired creation of "Marilyn Peeproe" appears to be leading the pack.)
