When not breaking up fights, he dedicates his time to distributing meals to the homeless in Greater Manchester.
Despite lacking formal combat training, weapons, or protective gear, Knight Warrior relies on his striking costume to capture attention. He claims, “When people see me approaching, it often leaves them speechless.” Currently, he resides with his mother.
In March 2013, Knight Warrior retired following an encounter with locals who challenged his abilities. However, on December 19th, 2017, he made a comeback, announcing his return to crime-fighting.
9. Mr. Extreme

San Diego, a city in dire need of a superhero, especially after its police force was reduced in 2012, resulting in a surge in criminal activity. While Mr. Extreme may not be the savior San Diego truly needs, he’s the one it tolerates. By day, he works as a security guard, but by night, he dons shin guards, a cape, an army helmet, and goggles to conceal his identity, patrolling the crime-heavy streets of East Village.
For nearly seven years, Mr. Extreme has patrolled the streets equipped with a taser, handcuffs, three cans of pepper spray, and an unwavering belief in doing what’s right. Though he rarely engages in physical confrontations, he has initiated multiple citizen arrests. He also founded and led the Xtreme Justice League.
Mr. Xtreme has been an active member of Project HOPE since its inception in 2010. On July 23rd, 2020, the Xtreme Justice League page shared the news of his retirement.
8. Wheel Clamp Man

7. Dark Guardian

Typically, those who admire superheroes and those who resemble them are worlds apart. However, Chris Pollak defies this norm, embodying both. His efforts have made a noticeable impact on reducing crime, particularly in Washington State Park. A video capturing his confrontation with a drug dealer is both compelling and motivational.
Throughout his vigilante career, Dark Guardian has intervened in altercations and thwarted robberies. As seen in the video, he has taken a strong stance against drug dealers in the area. His strategy involves scouting locations, identifying dealers, and ambushing them. Once close enough, he shines a flashlight in their faces and declares, “This is a drug-free park!”
In 2017, Dark Guardian traded his cape for a red beret. Pollak aimed to lead Staten Island’s Guardian Angels, taking on the borough’s criminals in a new role.

His strategy has shown results—he reports successfully preventing a rape by intervening and frightening off two men who were targeting an intoxicated woman.
He has stepped back from his duties, stating that Captain Australia is currently retired—though perhaps not forever!
5. Shadow

Suddenly, a man wielding a katana intervened, shouting, “Leave him alone. He’s a police officer!” His sword struck one gang member’s arm, causing the rest to flee, as detailed in the report.
Once the detectives were out of harm’s way, The Flashing Blade vanished without a trace. The sole description provided to the police was that he was a white male in his 40s with a mustache. Keep an eye out—he could be anywhere.

Among all real-life superheroes, Phoenix Jones has garnered the most media spotlight, particularly following his arrest in 2011 for using pepper spray on two women. He patrols Seattle, inspired to wear a mask and cape after witnessing bystanders ignore a break-in of his car. From knife injuries to gunshot wounds and street brawls, Phoenix Jones faces it all. At 22, he’s also a professional MMA fighter, a skill that undoubtedly aids his crime-fighting endeavors.
Unlike many aspiring superheroes, Phoenix’s outfit includes a bulletproof vest and armored plating, offering real protection.
Although he unofficially stepped away in 2019, speculation arose about his potential comeback in 2021.
