While some people report seeing mysterious lights or even witnessing unidentified flying objects up close, others go a step further, claiming to have actually boarded these crafts. These individuals often describe vivid memories of their experiences, including detailed interactions with the beings aboard.
Numerous individuals have shared stories of entering UFOs, either voluntarily or by force. Such accounts are often met with skepticism, with many dismissing them as fabrications. However, among these tales, some stand out as more credible, and the following ten individuals insist they have been inside a spacecraft of extraterrestrial origin.
10. Daniel Fry—A Long-Term Encounter with Extraterrestrial Beings

Daniel Fry’s accounts are filled with intricate details, yet even dedicated UFO researchers find them hard to believe. The sheer level of specificity in his stories has led many to question their authenticity, suggesting they may be exaggerated or fabricated.
Fry recounted that during the summer of 1949, while stationed at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico as part of his US military service, he encountered a mysterious craft nearby. The craft, or the intelligence controlling it, reportedly communicated with him and extended an invitation to come aboard.
Inside the craft, the floor turned transparent, allowing Fry to view the ground beneath him. He claimed to have been flown to New York City and back, enabling him to witness the “captivating glow” of the city lights. The entire trip lasted just 30 minutes, indicating the craft traveled at an astonishing speed of around 13,000 kilometers per hour (8,000 mph). Fry also disclosed that the vessel utilized antigravity technology, which protected him from the physical effects of such extreme velocities.
Fry asserted that the communication with the alien being continued for several years. He described the voice as belonging to an extraterrestrial who was acclimating to Earth’s atmosphere with the intention of settling here. The alien’s mission, according to Fry, was to “assist humanity.” The craft Fry had boarded was a scout ship tasked with collecting atmospheric samples to bring back to a larger mothership orbiting the planet.
9. Alfred Burtoo—Deemed Unfit for Alien Abduction?

Unlike Daniel Fry’s elaborate tale, Alfred Burtoo’s account is often viewed as more credible, partly due to his wife’s testimony. After his passing, she publicly dismissed claims of a hoax, stating that when he returned home on the night of the alleged encounter, he had “the expression of someone who had witnessed something miraculous.” She emphasized that her husband was not one to fabricate stories.
The event took place just after midnight on August 12, 1983, during a planned fishing excursion along the Basingstoke Canal in Aldershot, England. After settling into his favorite spot, enjoying a cigarette, and sipping tea from his flask, Burtoo observed a bright light emanating from the bushes a few feet away. Moments later, two peculiar beings, each approximately 1.2 meters (4 ft) tall, emerged from the glow and gestured for him to follow them.
The beings wore snug green suits and helmets with dark visors. Surprisingly unafraid, Burtoo stood up and complied, following them to a gleaming metallic craft supported by “ski-like” runners in a nearby clearing. A set of steps unfolded, leading inside, and the beings motioned for him to enter, which he did without hesitation.
Upon entering, Burtoo was struck by a strong odor resembling decaying flesh, and the temperature inside was significantly warmer than the cool night air outside. The interior appeared to be made of a single piece of unfinished black metal. As he examined the peculiar vessel, a voice echoed around him, instructing, “Come and stand under the amber light.” He obeyed without question.
The voice spoke again, this time inquiring about his age. Burtoo replied that he was 77. After a brief pause, the voice declared, “You may leave. You are too old and unfit for our needs.”
After exiting the craft and walking a short distance, Burtoo turned back just in time to see it ascend and disappear into the night sky. Was this a fortunate escape? Or did he miss an opportunity to join the mysterious intelligence aboard the craft?
8. The Integratron of George Van Tassel

Located in California’s Mojave Desert, a dome-shaped structure now serves as a popular tourist attraction. Constructed by George Van Tassel in the early 1950s, the Integratron was allegedly built under the guidance of an extraterrestrial being. The alien instructed that the building’s placement should align with the Great Pyramids of Giza.
According to the tale, in the early morning of August 24, 1953, Van Tassel awoke to find a “mysterious man” standing at the foot of his bed. Outside, a gleaming saucer-shaped craft awaited. The visitor, who identified himself as Solganda from Venus, invited Van Tassel aboard. During the journey, Solganda shared the knowledge and instructions necessary for Van Tassel to construct the Integratron—a project that would span 25 years.
The Integratron’s purpose reportedly included unlocking the secrets of universal energy and enabling time travel. Van Tassel documented his experiences in several books and even shared his story in Life magazine. Unsurprisingly, he faced ridicule and was often dismissed as a “crackpot.”
While the public is still welcome to explore the structure and even walk through its interior, the Integratron itself has been absent for years, and its current whereabouts remain a mystery.
7. Herbert Schirmer’s Recollection of Boarding an Alien Craft

In December 1967, young police officer Herbert Schirmer spotted unusual lights on State Highway 63 in Ashland, Nebraska. Initially, he assumed he was approaching a crashed vehicle. However, as his headlights illuminated the object, he realized it was far from an ordinary car or truck.
Schirmer later recounted his experience to The Ashland Gazette, describing a metallic, oval-shaped craft nearly 6 meters (20 ft) long. The object hovered just above the ground for several moments before vanishing abruptly.
Schirmer reported the sighting to his superiors, but it wasn’t until February of the following year that further details surfaced. Dr. Leo Sprinkle, intrigued by Schirmer’s case, suggested using hypnosis to uncover hidden memories. His suspicions were correct, as the hypnosis revealed additional details Schirmer had subconsciously suppressed.
During hypnosis, Schirmer recounted how he boarded the craft—voluntarily, yet feeling as though he was under some form of remote influence. Inside, he encountered several crew members who appeared human, each wearing identical uniforms adorned with a “snake emblem.” They demonstrated various features of the craft, including its functionality and the propulsion system it utilized.
The truthfulness of his account remains debatable, but the backlash Schirmer faced led him to resign from the police force shortly after the incident.
6. Sidney Patrick: Dismissed as an Opportunist

When Sidney Patrick reported his alleged experience aboard an alien spacecraft to the United States military in January 1965, they dismissed his claims, accusing him of seeking credibility through the story.
Patrick claimed that while walking along Manresa Beach near his Watsonville, California, home one evening—a routine activity for him—he encountered a massive object resting on the sand, resembling “two thick saucers stacked together.” As he hesitated, a voice from the craft reassured him, “Do not fear. We mean no harm.” After a moment of consideration, Patrick approached the craft, and a door opened, which he interpreted as an invitation to enter.
Sid initially found himself in a compact room before being led into a larger space. There, he encountered a figure who appeared almost human, except for a slightly pointed chin and nose. Glancing around, he noticed several other beings with identical features, all dressed in light blue, seamless two-piece outfits paired with snug-fitting shoes.
The being who greeted him introduced himself as “Xeno” and explained they were taking Sid on a journey in the craft. Xeno assured him they would let him explore his surroundings briefly to ensure he wouldn’t dismiss the experience as a dream. After wandering the craft and observing his altered environment, Sid was returned to Manresa Beach.
Patrick maintained that his account was truthful and vowed to produce a manuscript detailing the experience. However, by 1971, he lost a court case involving a $1,000 loan intended for the book’s production. When pressed to provide the manuscript, he claimed it had been lost and was no longer in his possession.
5. Jan Siedlecki—Awakened by a Blinding Light

After a late shift at Brydon’s Garage near Leeds in northern England in August 1976, Jan Siedlecki had just gone to bed when his room was suddenly illuminated by a bright light from outside. Squinting through the window, he saw a deep blue, saucer-shaped object descending slowly toward the ground.
He hurried downstairs and cautiously stepped outside for a clearer view. By then, the object had landed, and a peculiar tube extended from its base. Two beings, each about 1.2 meters (4 ft) tall, emerged from the tube, scanning the area and spotting Jan. They gestured for him to approach, and despite his hesitation, he complied.
The aliens seemed to communicate in an unfamiliar language. Both wore orange one-piece suits and helmets with dark visors, their chests adorned with panels featuring buttons and switches. As they adjusted the controls on their chests, they suddenly addressed Jan in English, as if the devices enabled translation. He followed them aboard the craft, entering a room with a glossy interior and a scent reminiscent of “decaying grass.”
Jan observed that the ship’s interior was illuminated by a yellow-orange glow, seemingly emanating from within, as there were no visible windows. Curious, he inquired about the propulsion system and energy source. One being mentioned a substance called “B-13,” but before they could explain further, an orange orb, about the size of a soccer ball, began darting erratically around the craft, bouncing off the walls. The being explained they had a “space-bug” and instructed Jan to leave immediately. He obeyed, watching as the craft ascended, its underside glowing with intense red flames.
4. Carlos Mercado’s Journey to an Alien Base on Earth

In 1988, unable to sleep due to Puerto Rico’s sweltering heat, Carlos Mercado left his wife in their bedroom and moved to the living room sofa. Shortly after, he heard a loud humming noise outside, followed by tapping on the window. Peering out, he saw three small humanoid figures staring back at him, with a gleaming saucer-shaped craft hovering behind them.
Mercado’s description of the beings closely matched the classic “grey alien” archetype. Communicating telepathically, the entities urged Carlos to step outside. He complied, and the trio escorted him to the metallic craft.
Inside, the craft was filled with an array of lights and machinery, most of which Carlos couldn’t comprehend. The room housed several other beings, all similar in size to the three who had summoned him. However, one figure stood out—a much taller being identified as their leader, referred to as “the Doctor” through the telepathic voice in Carlos’s mind.
One of the most astonishing aspects of his account is that he wasn’t taken into space but to an alien base hidden beneath the Sierra Bermeja mountains. After entering through a mountain tunnel, the UFO arrived in a massive underground chamber bustling with dozens of small humanoid beings engaged in various tasks.
Mercado claimed he was brought to this location to witness their activities so he could inform humanity of their existence and reassure the world that their intentions were peaceful.
3. Audrey and Debbie—Twins Who Claim to Have Boarded Spaceships Since Childhood

While they prefer to keep their last names private, twin sisters Audrey and Debbie claim to have been aboard various spaceships since the age of five.
Their first encounter occurred when a bright blue light flooded their bedroom one night. Simultaneously, their door swung open, and a peculiar blue mist drifted in. Following the mist were “bald men” dressed in dark robes, who escorted the girls outside and onto a spacecraft.
These experiences persisted into adulthood and continue to this day. Sometimes, both sisters were taken together, while other times, only one would go. On occasion, they were taken separately by their hosts and later reunited aboard a spaceship traveling through the stars.
While their descriptions of the UFOs lack the intricate details provided by others, Debbie recalls a striking moment when “the floor and walls of the spaceship vanished,” becoming transparent and revealing the Earth below.
The sisters are convinced that extraterrestrials are responsible for these journeys into space. They also believe they are not alone in these experiences, asserting that many others have had similar encounters.
2. Meng Zhaoguo—Allegedly Taken to Mars and Forced to Father a Child

While many accept the initial account of Meng Zhaoguo as plausible, his later claims are often dismissed as fabricated or entirely fictional. In 1994, while walking in China’s Red Flag Forest with a relative, they spotted what appeared to be a weather balloon. Tracking its descent, they arrived at the landing site to find a spacecraft. Standing near its entrance were several beings, each towering over 3 meters (10 ft) tall.
Terrified, the two fled, but Zhaoguo claimed the craft and its towering occupants continued to appear in the following months. On one occasion, they allegedly entered his home through the roof and took him aboard their spacecraft. During this journey, he was reportedly forced to engage in intercourse with a stunning female alien being, who later informed him they had conceived a child.
In another encounter, Zhaoguo claimed to have been flown to Mars, which his extraterrestrial hosts identified as their home planet.
1. Elizabeth Klarer—Summoning an Alien Scout Ship

While some claims on this list may be questionable, Elizabeth Klarer’s accounts from South Africa are widely regarded as highly exaggerated, if not entirely fabricated.
Klarer alleged that telepathic communication with an alien named Akon began in 1917 when she was just seven years old. These communications persisted intermittently for years, even during her tenure with South African Air Force Intelligence in World War II.
In the late 1950s, Klarer claimed to have summoned Akon’s spacecraft, boarded it, and was transported to a mothership. Together with Akon, she traveled to Meton, a planet she identified as part of the Alpha Centauri star system. She further asserted that they conceived a child, a son who stayed on Meton with Akon while she returned to Earth to share her story.
Her account was already met with skepticism, but her endorsement of books by George Adamski—another alleged alien contactee whose claims are widely doubted—sealed its fate as a tale few took seriously.
