Over the years, numerous reports of UFO sightings and abductions have emerged, varying greatly in credibility. While most individuals who claim such experiences emerge relatively unscathed, there are instances where encounters seem to have led to the unfortunate deaths of those who may have gotten a bit too close for comfort.
10. Jose Viana And Manuel Pereira Da Cruz

In August of 1966 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a teenager searching for his missing kite made a chilling discovery—two lifeless bodies of men dressed in raincoats, lying on their backs, each with a homemade lead mask placed beside their heads. There were no indications of any struggle, and early investigations concluded that both men had succumbed to cardiac arrest. However, the idea that both men experienced heart attacks simultaneously, while standing in the same location, seemed too improbable for some, prompting further inquiries into the case.
The individuals were identified as Jose Viana and Manuel Pereira da Cruz. Following the news of their deaths, several people came forward, sharing their experiences of witnessing a peculiar, orange, glowing object hovering in the vicinity where the men were later found. UFO investigator Jacques Vallee, in his book Confrontations, pointed out that the makeshift lead masks suggested the men were anticipating an otherworldly encounter and were likely trying to shield their eyes from intense rays or light.
9. Todd Sees

In August 2002, Todd Sees departed from his home just after 5:00 AM, heading toward Montour Ridge near Northumberland, Pennsylvania. He was driving an all-terrain vehicle to a family-owned property where he intended to check on the local deer population before the hunting season began.
When Todd failed to return by evening, his son ventured out to search for him. He discovered Todd’s vehicle, with his clothes neatly folded and placed on top of it. A two-day search followed, and Sees was eventually found in dense underbrush, his body reportedly emaciated.
Numerous reports were filed with MUFON regarding sightings of a silver disc near Montour Ridge, coinciding with the time Sees was expected to arrive there that morning. One witness described seeing a “shaft of light” descending from the craft, landing at the spot where Sees’s vehicle was later found on top of the mountain.
8. Arcesio Bermudez

In July 1969, 54-year-old Arcesio Bermudez was alerted to an unusual event near his family’s property in Anolaima, Colombia, by his children’s cries. Rushing outside, he saw a large, glowing object hovering overhead.
After a few moments, the object ascended back to the top of a hill where the children had first spotted it. Bermudez decided to climb up to investigate but returned shortly, visibly shaken. He claimed to have seen a “creature” inside a glass dome atop the craft. When he shone his flashlight at the object, it began to glow intensely before rapidly taking off.
Less than 48 hours after the encounter, Bermudez began to feel increasingly unwell. He complained of persistent nausea, and his skin developed unusual blue spots. When he passed away a week after the sighting, his death was attributed to gastroenteritis.
7. Jonathan Lovette

One of the most bizarre cases of a death linked to a supposed UFO encounter took place in March 1956 when Sergeant Jonathan Lovette and Major William Cunningham were assigned to retrieve debris after a missile test in New Mexico.
Cunningham recounted that Lovette had gone to inspect a small sand dune when he suddenly began to scream. Cunningham rushed toward the dune and saw a silver disc hovering above it. Even stranger, a massive, snake-like object was dangling from the craft, wrapping around Lovette and pulling him aboard.
Many initially believed that Cunningham had murdered Lovette and fabricated the wild story. That was until Lovette’s body was found three days later. His corpse displayed numerous horrific mutilations, including the removal of his eyes and tongue, and his body was entirely drained of blood.
6. Rivalino Mafra Da Silva

In August 1962, in Diamantino, Brazil, Rivalino Mafra Da Silva and his three young sons were startled by the sound of heavy footsteps outside their home. When they quietly approached the window to investigate, they witnessed strange, human-shaped shadows drifting toward their property. As these mysterious shapes circled the Mafra home, one of the boys spotted two peculiar black spheres floating several feet above the ground outside. He decided to investigate and quickly called out to his father.
When Mafra went outside to investigate, the two floating spheres suddenly merged into one, releasing a strange yellow smoke. This yellow mist enveloped Mafra, and he appeared to be consumed by it. In the blink of an eye, the spheres, the shadowy figures, and Mafra completely vanished.
5. The Guarapiranga Reservoir Man

Perhaps one of the most gruesome UFO-related deaths occurred with the Guarapiranga Reservoir Man, whose injuries bore a striking resemblance to those typically found on mutilated cattle. His body was discovered in the Guarapiranga Reservoir in Brazil in 1988. Despite tests showing he had been dead for at least 48 hours, possibly more, there were no visible signs of decomposition or decay.
Similar to cattle mutilation cases, the man’s ears, eyes, and tongue had been neatly removed, and his body was entirely drained of blood. Additionally, several precise cuts of skin and tissue had been taken from various parts of his body. His genitals were also removed.
4. Abel Boro

In October 1981, the region surrounding Panorama, Brazil, appeared to be plagued by strange flying craft, referred to as chupas by the locals. Witnesses described these aerial objects in various ways. Some said they resembled rectangular shapes, almost like large refrigerators, which emitted beam-like searchlights over the land they passed over.
The craft that Abel Boro and his companion, Rivamar Ferreira, saw was different from the others; it was circular and spinning on its own axis, with lights so intense they made the night look like daytime. The rotating object began to descend toward Boro, surrounding his body in a brilliant, sparkling glow. Ferreira rushed to Boro’s home to get help. When he returned with family members, Boro was dead—his body completely drained of blood and eerily pale.
3. Joao Prestes Filho

In March 1946, in the small Brazilian village of Aracariguama, Joao Prestes Filho rushed into the house he shared with his sister, visibly shaken. He explained that while returning from a fishing trip, he saw a strange craft overhead. The object then emitted a beam of light, striking his leg.
Several hours later, Filho fell severely ill, and the wound on his leg worsened drastically. The skin and flesh seemed to peel away from the bone, as though his leg had been subjected to intense boiling. By the time he reached the hospital, Filho had passed away. The cause of his death remains unknown. While some speculated he was struck by lightning, the weather that evening had been warm and clear.
2. Seven Killed In India By UFOs

An article published in The Victoria Advocate in August 2002 reported a terrifying series of UFO attacks in Lucknow, India, which led to the deaths of seven people. Eyewitnesses described seeing both disc-shaped crafts and strange, ball-like objects that moved at incredible speeds, flashing bright lights. Additionally, there were accounts of a much larger craft, resembling an insect, so enormous that it could be seen clearly from 80 kilometers (50 miles) away.
During the several days that these UFOs were observed, seven individuals lost their lives, all suffering injuries similar to those caused by electrocution. Even more strange, within a 16-kilometer (10-mile) radius, over 20 people mysteriously disappeared, and their current whereabouts remain unknown.
1. Karl Hunrath And Wilbur Wilkinson

In November 1953, UFO investigators Karl Hunrath and Wilbur Wilkinson departed from Gardina County Airport in California on a clear, sunny day. According to their flight records, their mission was to travel to a secluded area in the California desert, where they were scheduled to meet extraterrestrials who had contacted them telepathically.
Whether or not the two men actually met beings from this mysterious alien race remains uncertain. However, what is indisputable is that neither the men nor their plane were ever seen or heard from again after that fateful day.
Despite extensive search efforts, no wreckage was ever found to suggest the plane had crashed. Interestingly, the FBI showed a particular interest in the men’s activities leading up to their disappearance, possibly due to Hunrath’s claims of having developed a device capable of bringing down any military aircraft from the sky.
