Phil Spector stunned everyone last week—not for his murder conviction, but for his prison photo showing him without his wig. While Spector may be the most unsettling, he's far from the only celebrity to rock a toupee or hairpiece. Here are 10 others.
1. TED DANSON

Danson has been wearing a toupee for years and even made light of it in an episode of Cheers when it was revealed that Sam Malone's thick hair had a bit of assistance. It's said that Danson wears the wig exclusively for films and TV shows, but he has no issue showing off his thinning hair when he's not on screen.
2. FRANK SINATRA

Ol' Blue Eyes relied on toupees for much of his career, according to Jerry Roman, the man who styled his hair for films like The Manchurian Candidate. "He used to wear some excellent hairpieces," Roman shared. "But toward the end, he became careless. In his final years, he switched to a synthetic piece that didn't quite look authentic."
3. JOHN WAYNE

The actor started wearing a toupee around 1948. However, he never tried to hide it, even making a witty remark when a reporter once questioned him about his "fake" toupee. "It's not fake," he replied. "It's real hair. Of course, it’s not mine, but it’s real."
4. HUMPHREY BOGART

Bogie wore a toupee but was never seen without it in public. His lover was a wig-maker who had previously worked with Hollywood stars like Ray Milland and Gary Cooper before she caught Bogie's attention.
5. BURT REYNOLDS

Reynolds might have kept his toupee under wraps for years, but when he filed for bankruptcy, his outstanding debts included $121,796.62 owed to Edward Katz Hair Design. Once the court papers were made public, the secret was out, so to speak.
6. HOWARD COSELL
According to his Washington Post obituary, Cosell wore a toupee for all of his public appearances, a fact that became widely known when Muhammad Ali playfully snatched it off his head live on air in the 1960s.
7. SEAN CONNERY

While he's known as a suave bald gentleman today, Connery has actually embraced the bald look since his 007 days.
8. BING CROSBY

Crosby wore a hairpiece throughout his film career, but in his later years, he disliked wearing the toupee so much that he started choosing roles where he could wear hats or nightcaps instead. His baldness became widely recognized when he chose to forgo the toupee during WWII USO tours.
9. JIMMY STEWART

Stewart began wearing a toupee in the early 1950s, opting for a gray one to make it less noticeable. However, it wasn’t unusual for him to go without it in public.
10. BEN AFFLECK

There’s some debate over whether the older Affleck brother wears a toupee. A few years ago, a rumor spread that Affleck and Vince Vaughn were horsing around at a party, as guys sometimes do, and Affleck's toupee allegedly slipped off and flipped back in front of several prominent Hollywood figures. He supposedly made them all promise to keep quiet, but the story eventually leaked. He’s since denied it. What’s your take on this?
Naturally, these are just a few examples. Other potential candidates include Marv Albert, Errol Flynn, Donald Trump (though most who’ve seen him up close suspect it's just an impressive combover), Hank Williams, Jeremy Piven, Nicolas Cage, John Travolta, William Shatner, and Mel Gibson. Do you think there are others who belong on the list? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
