On a pleasant February day in 2022, a 38-year-old man, along with his two children and a family acquaintance, decided to enjoy a peaceful walk in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.
During their stroll, the man, whose name remains undisclosed, was struck by an intense pain in his lower body. Unable to identify the cause, the group rushed to the nearest hospital's emergency room. Doctors discovered he had been shot, yet neither he nor the medical team could determine how the bullet had entered his body. After removing the bullet, he was sent home.
Authorities launched an investigation, but with no firearm recovered, no witnesses reporting a gunshot, and no suspect seen, the case remains a baffling mystery. The prevailing theory suggests he may have been struck by a stray bullet fired from a considerable distance.
9. A Startling Revelation
In July 2022, a woman rented a car from a GoCar facility and headed towards Mullinavat, a village in south County Kilkenny, Ireland. The drive was short, just five miles, but shortly after starting, a peculiar odor filled the car. Despite opening the windows, the smell persisted, prompting her to pull over and inspect.
Upon opening the trunk, she was met with a horrifying discovery: a decomposing body. Authorities were immediately notified, and it was later revealed the body was that of a 40-year-old Waterford man who had been reported missing two weeks prior. It was also determined that the man had rented the same vehicle just before her.
The investigation into this tragic incident remains ongoing.
8. The Enigmatic Masked Slender Man
Picture reviewing your CCTV footage and encountering a figure that seems to have stepped right out of an episode of Black Mirror.
In March 2021, an individual donning a white mask with cutouts for eyes and nose appeared at a South Carolina residence. Captured on CCTV, the footage left the family inside deeply unsettled. The image quickly spread on social media, drawing immediate comparisons to the infamous Slender Man—a tall, pale figure in a suit from urban legends.
Law enforcement looked into the incident, but the investigation has yet to yield any results.
7. The Return of Jetpack Man
The mysterious jetpack man first gained attention in 2020 when pilots near Los Angeles International Airport reported sightings. Since then, there have been numerous encounters, including one where he was seen just 300 feet (91 meters) from a commercial aircraft's wing.
To this day, no one has stepped forward to take responsibility, and in June 2022, another sighting of a jetpack-wearing figure near LAX was reported. Air traffic control remarked, “We’ve heard the jetpack man is back. There’s a report of a jetpack at 4,500 feet [1,371 meters] near a gate, approximately six miles east of your current location.”
Previously released images suggest an inflatable balloon resembling Jack Skellington might explain the jetpack man sightings. However, this theory remains unverified.
6. Who Could Possibly Do This?
While some find it amusing to discuss plane crashes during flights, one individual escalated this behavior by sending images of crashing planes to passengers on an AnadoluJet flight via their cell phones.
The aircraft was preparing to depart for Turkey, but the captain, concerned for passenger safety, decided to return to the gate. Airport security was alerted, and thorough measures, including re-screening passengers and luggage, were taken to ensure safety.
The images were reportedly shared via Apple’s AirDrop feature, likely sent by someone on board. The sender’s identity remains a mystery.
5. The First Clown Encounter
Long before the clown craze of 2016, eerie photos of a clown on a hiking trail surfaced in 2010. The clown, clad in a two-toned outfit with a peculiar expression on his painted face, appears to be staring directly at the camera. In a second image, he seems uncomfortably close to the lens.
These unsettling photos are believed to have been captured by a trail camera deep in a forest. While the incident was likely staged, the motive behind such an elaborate act remains unclear, and no evidence has been found to confirm this theory.
4. Mysterious Drone Swarms
In 2019, mysterious drone swarms were observed repeatedly hovering near U.S. Navy ships off Southern California’s coast. Despite investigations, the Navy couldn’t determine the drones’ origin or operators.
Documents released in late 2021 revealed that the drone sightings persisted even after the Navy’s investigation began, continuing through July 2019. At one point, three ships simultaneously reported multiple drones. The Navy couldn’t shoot them down, as their weapons were ineffective against such small targets.
The purpose of the drones and the identity of those controlling them remain unsolved mysteries.
3. Who Was Responsible?
On March 4, 2022, a rocket body, first spotted by astronomers in late 2021, crashed into the moon. NASA’s Reconnaissance Orbiter later identified the impact site, revealing a double crater over 90 feet (27.4 meters) wide. This suggests the rocket had significant mass at both ends.
At the time, there were rumors suggesting the rocket might have originated from China, but officials from the country firmly refuted these claims.
It’s not uncommon for rocket debris to collide with the moon, as NASA has recorded at least 47 such instances. However, the unique double crater left behind has baffled researchers, as no previous rocket impact has created a similar mark.

2. Will the truth ever come to light?
On March 8, 2014, Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 ceased communication with ground control within an hour of departure and was manually rerouted off its planned course. Initial search efforts focused on the South China Sea before shifting to the Indian Ocean.
Between 2015 and 2016, significant debris was discovered on Reunion Island and near Mozambique's coastline. By early 2017, the official search for the aircraft concluded. Despite numerous theories, ranging from conspiracies to unreliable eyewitness accounts, the exact fate of the plane remains a mystery.
Richard Godfrey, a retired British aerospace engineer, is recognized for proposing the most plausible theory about the incident—suggesting the captain hijacked the plane. He also asserts that the Malaysian government continues to conceal crucial information that could unravel the mystery. Additionally, Godfrey claims to know the precise location of the missing aircraft but alleges that certain parties prefer it remains undiscovered.
In 2022, Ocean Infinity, a marine robotics firm, revealed plans to initiate a new search in early 2023, collaborating with Godfrey in an effort to finally uncover the remnants of the plane.
1. The Demise of the Georgia Guidestones
Often referred to as the American Stonehenge, the Georgia Guidestones were erected in Elbert County, Georgia, and stood from 1980 until 2022. The creators believed the monument would guide survivors in a post-catastrophe world, potentially facing nuclear or economic collapse. Among the inscriptions were directives to limit the global population to under five billion to maintain ecological balance.
The Guidestones quickly became a focal point for bizarre conspiracy theories, with the most outlandish claiming a link to occult practices allegedly conducted by Satanists.
On July 6, 2022, the monument suffered extensive damage from an explosion and was fully demolished later that day. As of now, the identity of the bombers remains a mystery, and discussions are ongoing about whether the structure should be reconstructed.
