Some witnesses described seeing objects shaped like lozenges. Grainy photographs taken that night seem to show a classic alien spacecraft hovering ominously over Los Angeles. To complicate matters, both the Navy and Air Force provided conflicting reports about the event. While the incident remains shrouded in mystery, it's important to remember that a massive war was underway at the time. These objects might have been experimental technology, though we may never know for sure.

Recently, NASA made history by releasing stunning new color photos of Pluto, showing us the planet like never before and providing fresh insights. One particular image sparked claims that it showed a gigantic alien space slug creeping across Pluto’s surface. While the object does vaguely resemble a slug, it turns out to be something far more mundane.

According to the space agency, the object was actually a massive chunk of nitrogen-rich ice that had floated to Pluto’s surface, only to slowly melt and sink back down. Experts have compared this phenomenon to the behavior of a lava lamp. What appeared to be a moving slug was actually a block of ice floating momentarily before sinking back below the surface. While not alien life, the idea of an entire planetary surface acting like a giant lava lamp is still quite remarkable.
8. The Enormous Beings Living Beneath Earth’s Crust
While most people turn their gaze to the heavens in search of extraterrestrial life, others look closer to home for beings that might be 'hybrids.' There are even some who believe that the true secrets of our world lie beneath our feet, hidden from view. With the rise of social media, conspiracy theories suggesting that Earth is not what we think are gaining traction.
While some theorists insist that the Earth is flat, others argue that it is hollow, housing an entirely separate world within it—one that boasts its own functioning Sun, despite being encased inside our planet. According to these claims, Admiral Byrd’s 1940s flight over the North Pole wasn’t what it seemed—he actually flew inside it and discovered this hidden world within the Earth’s crust, a discovery that the government has supposedly worked hard to conceal.
Some conspiracy enthusiasts also take seriously an ancient tale from a group of Scandinavians who, while sailing near the Pole, found themselves in a strange phenomenon. Instead of getting colder, the temperature began to rise, and they eventually sailed inside the Earth. They stumbled upon a lush, rich land inhabited by giant beings who consumed equally gigantic fruits and vegetables. These beings, according to theorists, are far more intelligent than humans and sometimes communicate through intermediaries to help guide the future of humanity. Some even claim they secretly converse with the Dalai Lama.
7. The Hidden Reptilian Aliens Who Control Global Governments
Many of us are familiar with the reptilian theory first popularized by David Icke. The idea is that, long ago, alien beings secretly integrated themselves into human society and maintained their power through generations by keeping it within the family. While there are different versions of this theory, the core claim is that these beings are either full-blooded aliens or hybrids who are aware of their origins and are using their influence to control the world. However, what many don’t realize is that the most absurd part of this theory is even stranger than the initial premise.
In truth, many of the details about the ancient history of these reptilians were added later to make the theory seem more credible. The primary evidence for the theory boils down to the fact that many royals or political elites are distant relatives—or at the very least, closely connected through marriage. Given that royal families often arranged marriages for political reasons, it’s not all that surprising that members of royalty or politics share distant familial ties or connections through marriage.

These theorists now have access to thousands of publicly available NASA images and scour them for signs of alien life or suspicious government activity, often quickly validating the most outlandish theories within their echo chambers of paranoia. Others are simply obsessed with the idea of alien life and will convince themselves that they’ve found evidence, even when there is no actual reason to believe in it.
A prime example of this is the 'Martian woman' incident that surfaced in 2015. A photo snapped by the Mars Curiosity rover sparked rumors, with some claiming it depicted an alien woman on Mars. Naturally, the image was quite vague. Many dismissed it as mere imagination, likening it to seeing faces in clouds. Some even speculated that a rock in the image might be the alien's 'house.'
CNET covered the story but couldn’t get a clear explanation from NASA, whose spokespeople suggested it was likely a product of overactive imaginations. While NASA didn’t respond directly, CNET analyzed other images from the Mars Curiosity rover. They noted that, based on the rover’s scale, if the 'woman' were indeed an alien, she would be remarkably tiny in comparison to human size.
5. The Real Men in Black May Actually Be Government Agents Manipulating Us
While many believe the government is concealing evidence of extraterrestrial life, some argue that the situation might be more complex. They suggest that former government agents have infiltrated UFO enthusiast circles, feeding them false information about UFOs and even hinting that the government knows more than it actually does.
In some cases, these agents allegedly had full institutional support to mislead unsuspecting UFO enthusiasts. They even planted fake evidence to further stir up the debate. This also gave the agents a chance to monitor UFO groups and see if they were getting closer to uncovering any secret military operations, which was especially critical during the time, as they didn’t want the Russians to uncover these projects.
This conspiracy theory posits that much of the alien lore circulating today is actually a deliberate effort by the government to confuse the public and the Russians, preventing them from discovering the truly secret projects. It also served as an explanation for any bizarre occurrences resulting from experiments gone awry.

Many theorists assert that governments worldwide have already made contact with at least one alien species. The common narrative suggests these aliens are peaceful and wish to cooperate with humanity in some way. There are also stories about government officials revealing that there’s far more happening than the public is being told. However, one particular account stands out due to its extraordinary claims.
The theory suggests that a senior Canadian official confirmed humanity’s contact with multiple alien species and that we've collaborated with several over the years. It gets even more far-fetched when the theorist asserts that—based on leaked government information—we know of at least 80 distinct, intelligent alien species.
Naturally, the theory is somewhat discredited by the descriptions of these so-called 'alien' species. Most of them resemble humans, and their characteristics are more reminiscent of video game races than actual extraterrestrials. The more unusual ones are said to have the ability to change forms and shift between different dimensions. The theorist also repeatedly stresses that they are 'not just making this up.'
3. Human DNA May Have Been Irreversibly Altered by Ancient Alien Visitors
The same individuals who believe that ancient extraterrestrials are responsible for the creation of monumental structures such as the pyramids, Jesus' existence, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the ruins of the Mayan civilization, the heads of Easter Island, and other early human achievements, also claim that humans could not have reached their current level of development without the intervention of ancient aliens. These theorists essentially replace the traditional concept of God with an enigmatic group of sentient beings, possessing highly advanced technology that might as well be magic to us.
Many of these theorists not only believe in alien-human hybrids, but they argue that human DNA was once significantly altered by extraterrestrial visitors. Some suggest that this was done to accelerate human evolution, enhance our abilities to serve as laborers for the aliens, or simply to experiment and observe the results. Recently, conspiracy theorists went wild over the discovery that human DNA appears to contain foreign elements that could not have naturally evolved.
Scientists explain that the foreign DNA is the result of microorganisms that coexisted with early humans in their environment. However, theorists maintain that this foreign DNA is evidence of deliberate modification by ancient aliens.
2. Jesus Christ Was Allegedly an Alien-Human Hybrid
For many years, most alien conspiracy theories were centered around the time between the Roswell incident and the present. However, more recently, a new wave of theories has emerged, suggesting that extraterrestrial visitors arrived on Earth thousands of years ago, influencing our culture and history. According to these theories, if something created by ancient civilizations cannot be explained by our understanding of their technology, it must have been accomplished by alien visitors with far superior technology. The theorist points out striking similarities between the visitations that Mary experienced in her dreams and the abduction stories often associated with aliens. Furthermore, it is suggested that the virgin birth was possible because the aliens inseminated Mary during one of their supposed abduction experiments.
The theorist continues by noting that many key historical figures share similar origin stories, including virgin births or hybrid births involving so-called gods. The implication is that numerous important figures were designed by extraterrestrials to influence the course of human history. Among these figures are many early religious leaders and philosophers.

Some hypotheses suggest that Venus underwent a runaway greenhouse effect far more extreme than anything Earth has experienced, causing it to lose its water and transforming its atmosphere into a hostile environment for life.
Recent research has reinforced the notion that Venus may have once been a planet rich in water and potentially capable of supporting life, even life similar to humans. This has sparked speculation among conspiracy theorists about the possibility that Venus could have been home to human-like species in the past or that some of the planet’s inhabitants survived its cataclysmic transformation and evolved into an entirely new form of intelligent life.
