Since its debut in 1999, the 2002 Harley-Davidson FXSTB Night Train has maintained its iconic appearance. Known for its all-black design, this model has seen only minor updates over the years, staying faithful to its dark and menacing roots.

The initial Night Trains featured an 80-cubic-inch Evolution V-twin engine, which was replaced by the Twin Cam 88B in 2000. In 2001, Jade Sunglo Pearl became an available color option.

Every Night Train model is distinguished by its crinkle-black detailing: the engine and transmission are coated in black, along with parts like the oil tank, air-filter cover, rear-fender braces, and instrument panel on the tank. A few shiny accents remain, ensuring the Night Train can still be recognized even in low light.
