"I have a thick head of naturally curly hair that’s been through it all—hot tools, at-home dyes, every type of shampoo and conditioner, dry shampoos, hair oils, and every product I could test for a story for my dear readers. Lots of things either didn’t work, were just okay, or were too pricey to justify recommending. Many products have ended up in the trash or passed along to grateful friends when they weren’t the right fit for me. But THIS STUFF. This is my go-to when I want to spray it on wet hair before blow-drying. Normally, I’d apply a heat protector and oil treatment, but this 10-in-1 product beats them all. Most times, I don't even need a finishing oil (which I’ve been using as a must for years). It’s that good! "I bleach my dark brown-black Asian hair blonde every six to eight weeks, so I was immediately curious when some stylists at my salon started talking about K18. Turns out, the world agrees with them, as it was sold out at Sephora the first time I tried to buy it. I ended up grabbing a small tester on Amazon and was blown away by how much softer my hair became. Seriously. I spent the entire day touching my hair, and even my boyfriend noticed how much silkier it felt.

Olaplex was my go-to before trying K18, and I still think it’s a good product, but I love that K18 is a leave-in treatment instead of an in-shower mask. Waiting for the 10 minutes it took for Olaplex to sit in my hair felt like forever, especially when I wasn’t doing a full shower. With K18, I just leave it on for four minutes post-shower, and I can style or air-dry my hair as I please.

I've noticed my hair feels its softest the next day, so don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t feel dramatically different right away. One last point: it's a bit pricey, but you don’t need much. The 5 mL tube I bought has lasted me around five washes, and eventually, K18 can become a maintenance product so you won’t need to use it every time you wash your hair."
