But after some thought, I realized it’s actually a solid investment. I’ll be owning cats for life, but cleaning their litter box is definitely not my favorite task.
After using the Litter Robot for nearly a year now, I can confidently say it’s made all of us (my cats and me) a lot happier. Once the cat finishes using it, the Litter Robot waits for a while to detect their absence and then starts rotating, packing up the waste into a bag below, while keeping the litter fresh in the barrel. I rarely smell anything afterward, though once the bag gets quite full, I might catch a faint reminder to change it. I only need to replace the bag about once a week, and there’s a light indicator when it’s full.
At first, my cats were a bit spooked by the noise during a cleaning cycle, and for a while, they’d just watch it like it might suddenly charge them.
