Despite the oddity of these accounts, a recurring detail that emerges during hypnotic regression sessions is the sensation of being taken “underwater.” Interestingly, many alleged abductees also report being transported not to a spaceship in the cosmos, but to a hidden facility located deep beneath Earth’s oceans.
8. Betty Hill’s Account of Being Taken “Underwater”
Betty and Barney Hill, a married couple, claimed they were abducted on a deserted road in New Hampshire in September 1961. Their story sparked both fascination and skepticism, leading to multiple investigations and a series of hypnotic regression sessions. Even today, opinions remain split on the credibility of their account.
During one of these hypnotic regression sessions—particularly relevant to our discussion—Betty mentions the peculiar craft she and her husband boarded “entering the water.” While under hypnosis, she even questions aloud whether these mysterious objects truly submerged underwater.
This detail has largely been overlooked, except by a few observant UFO researchers. If Betty and her husband were indeed taken underwater after boarding the otherworldly craft, it subtly alters the nature of their encounter.
7. Betty Andreasson’s Experience of Being Taken to an Underwater “Museum of Time”
Betty Andreasson reported not just one but multiple abduction experiences, some dating back to her childhood. One such incident occurred in 1950 when she was taken from her home and placed on a wheel-like vehicle that appeared to move autonomously. Shortly after, the vehicle descended into the waters off the U.S. coast.
Even more bizarre, this underwater craft transported her to a massive aquatic facility. There, she was led through what she later referred to as a “museum of life,” containing human specimens from various historical periods preserved in strange glass containers.
As expected, Andreasson’s encounters, like many others, are met with skepticism by some. However, her claims have been thoroughly examined by several prominent UFO researchers and remain among the most hotly debated topics within the UFO community.
6. Katharina Wilson Describes Aquatic Craft Transporting Her to a “Navy Vessel”
One of the less widely known abduction accounts comes from Katharina Wilson, who detailed her experiences in the book *Alien Jigsaw*. In one instance, she describes moving “downward at a sharp angle” toward the water, followed by the sensation of being surrounded by water.
Despite this, she remained unharmed and soon found herself inside a peculiar glass-like tunnel or tube, which continued to descend deep beneath the ocean’s surface.
Even more intriguing, Wilson claimed that during another similar encounter, the mysterious craft she was on emerged from the water and transferred her to a military “navy vessel.” If her account is accurate, this could imply some level of military involvement in alien abduction phenomena.

5. Orlando Jorge Ferraudi’s Experience of Being Taken to a “Giant Underwater Dome”
The alien abduction account of Orlando Jorge Ferraudi is one of the most fascinating on record, though there is some confusion about the date, with sources citing either 1956 or 1965.
Ferraudi recounted being approached by a 7-foot-tall humanoid wearing a shiny, form-fitting suit while fishing at night on an Argentine beach. He was then taken aboard a disc-shaped craft that submerged underwater, eventually transporting him to a massive underwater dome beneath the Gulf of Mexico. Ferraudi described the structure as resembling a “giant igloo” and was told by his captors that it served as a “base to recondition our ships.”
He was also informed that genetic experiments involving humans had been conducted in such facilities for millennia. Additionally, Earth was described as a “zoo-like planet” to extraterrestrial races across the universe. Even more astonishing, all life on Earth was said to be part of these genetic experiments, with origins tracing back to other worlds.
4. Linda Cortile – Abducted and Taken Beneath the East River
The alleged abduction of Linda Cortile is one of the more famous cases, largely due to its investigation by renowned UFO researcher Budd Hopkins. However, a particular aspect of her experience is especially relevant to our discussion.
When Hopkins first began investigating Cortile’s claim of being abducted from her New York high-rise apartment in November 1989, he was unaware that multiple witnesses had observed the event from the ground.
On the night in question, two security guards, referred to as “Richard” and “Dan,” were driving near the Brooklyn Bridge with Javier Perez de Cuellar, the Secretary-General of the United Nations. Suddenly, their car engine stalled without explanation. Upon exiting the vehicle, they were astonished to see Cortile and three unusual figures floating in the air, moving toward a disc-shaped object. The craft then abruptly descended and plunged into the East River, disappearing beneath the surface.
Months before the guards came forward, Cortile, during hypnotic regression, made fascinating statements to Hopkins. She described the UFO coming to an abrupt halt “under the water” and recalled looking out through a window, observing debris like soda bottles on the riverbed. Could this have been her recollection of being taken deep into the East River?
3. Could Fred Valentich’s Disappearance Be Linked to Underwater Alien Abduction?
The mysterious vanishing of Fred Valentich in 1978 is a case that could fill an entire book, especially since it remains unresolved over four decades later. The fate of the young Australian pilot continues to spark debate, with UFO researchers often suggesting it was an alien abduction, possibly involving an underwater base beneath the Bass Strait.
While flying over this enigmatic stretch of water, Valentich contacted the control tower, reporting an unidentified object above him. His tone indicated clear panic. Minutes later, he stated the object was “not an airplane,” and then he disappeared without a trace. The final sound heard by the control tower was an eerie metallic screeching.
An extensive search was conducted, but no trace of Valentich or his plane was ever found. Adding to the intrigue, multiple witnesses in the area reported seeing a strange object around the time of Valentich’s radio transmissions. Among them was Roy Manifold, who even captured a photograph of the mysterious object. However, the most compelling account came from his son, Jason, who claimed that after his father went inside, he stayed outside and heard a plane in the distance. Suddenly, the sound ceased “as if someone had turned it off.”
Was Valentich abducted by extraterrestrials? And if so, could he have been taken to one of the alleged underwater facilities that many researchers believe exist beneath the Earth’s oceans?
2. Anna Jamerson Uncertain If Her Alien Abductors Took Her Underwater
In her book *Connections*, Anna Jamerson recounts several alleged alien abduction experiences. While not as explicit as others on this list, her descriptions strongly hint at underwater activity.
For instance, she describes being inside a strange craft when she noticed a “massive ocean liner approaching head-on.” Suddenly, it seemed as though the ocean liner was above her, suggesting she had been submerged beneath the water’s surface.
One particularly striking detail is her account of entering a “long tunnel with soft sides” while inside the craft. At the end of the tunnel, she observed a green light. Could the “soft sides” have been water surrounding the tunnel, similar to the glass-like tunnels described by Katharina Wilson?
These details emerged during hypnotic regression. However, at the critical moment, the therapist redirected her focus away from the green light. As a result, Jamerson, like the rest of us, remains unaware of the true nature or location of the encounter.

In 1979, while traveling with a friend and their family on the outskirts of Miami, Filiberto Cardenas experienced one of the most bizarre abduction stories ever documented. When the car engine abruptly stalled, Cardenas stepped out to investigate and spotted a massive disc-shaped object hovering above. Suddenly, a beam of light engulfed him, lifting him toward the craft. His companions in the car witnessed the entire event and promptly reported him missing.
After a two-hour search, Cardenas was discovered in a disoriented state on a bustling highway approximately 10 miles from his vehicle. Following a medical examination, he was released to go home. Months later, under hypnotic regression, he began to recall the events that transpired after the mysterious beam captured him.
Once aboard the disc-shaped craft, Cardenas underwent a series of peculiar experiments conducted by strange humanoid beings. He was then placed into a smaller vessel, which seemed to operate autonomously. The craft descended into the ocean, breaking through the surface and entering an underwater passage. Cardenas eventually found himself inside a “vast hangar” located deep beneath the sea.
What adds further intrigue to Cardenas’ story is that his otherworldly hosts shared several predictions about future global events, many of which turned out to be astonishingly accurate.
