For residents of Plano, Texas, enjoying a movie night with your dog has become more exciting than just lounging at home with Netflix. The newly launched K9 Cinemas
This unique theater operates as a temporary setup in a private venue near Custer Road and 15th Street in Plano. Both pet-friendly and human snacks are available for $2 each. To ensure comfort, only two dogs per person are allowed, and each screening accommodates just 25 human guests to make space for their furry friends.
To enjoy the theater's offerings, pet owners must adhere to specific guidelines. Dogs must have all their vaccinations current, and owners can provide proof of this either online or in person. Inside the theater, owners are responsible for taking their dogs outside for bathroom breaks and cleaning up any messes, though the concrete floors make this task easier.
Although many of the featured films are centered around dogs—such as a recent showing of A Dog's Journey, where attendees received branded bandanas with their tickets—the theater also hosts unique events, like a Game of Thrones finale viewing party (though it remains unclear how the canine guests reacted to Jon Snow finally recognizing Ghost as the good boy he is).
