Here’s a guide to installing a wall oven:
- Switch off the circuit breaker that powers the oven. For extra safety, apply some tape over the breaker to avoid accidental activation.
- Remove the doors from the old oven.
- Unscrew the anchoring screws and carefully remove the oven from its cabinet. You might need assistance for this step.
- Disconnect the electrical wires from the old oven.
- Locate the electrical junction box behind the cabinet. If it's inside the wall, you may need to cut through the drywall to access it.
- Measure the cabinet opening and compare it with the dimensions required for the new oven as listed in the manual. If the opening is too small, divide the difference by two and cut the required amount from both sides.
- Position the new oven near the cabinet so the armored cable can reach the electrical junction box.
- Attach a right-angle clamp to the cable.
