Among the top benefits of Amazon Prime is its monthly offering of free games via the Twitch.tv “Twitch Prime” feature. Additionally, Amazon has introduced a new Amazon Games launcher, simplifying the process of claiming, downloading, and playing these games on your PC. However, setting up the app can be tricky if you’re unsure where to start.
This quick guide will walk you through installing the Amazon Games launcher and using it to enjoy all the Twitch Prime games linked to your account.
Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up the Amazon Games Launcher

Keep in mind that Amazon Games is exclusively designed for managing and playing your Twitch Prime game collection. It does not support purchasing in-game items or streaming gameplay (for that, you’ll still need the Twitch App). Additionally, you must be an Amazon Prime member with a connected Twitch account to access free games via Twitch Prime. Follow these steps:
Visit the Twitch Prime landing page.
Log in using your Amazon Prime credentials.
Navigate to the “Games and Loot” tab.
Scroll to the “Games with Prime” section.
Select a game you wish to add to your library and click “Claim.”
After claiming the game, select “Download and Play.”
A pop-up window will appear with installation instructions. Click “Download the Amazon Games App” to get the launcher.
Install the application and log in with your Amazon account when prompted. (You may need to enter your password twice and complete a captcha.)
Steps to Add, Install, and Play Games Using Amazon Games

Adding a game to your library: Select “Free Games with Prime” to browse the current selection. The available games will rotate over time, but any game you claim will stay in your account permanently, even after it’s no longer available for new users.
Installing a game: Navigate to either “All Games” or “Ready to Install,” then choose “Install” under the desired title. Click “Proceed” and wait for the download to finish.
Playing a game: Go to the “Installed” tab to view all games on your PC. Click “Play” to start your chosen game.
